3-6 home stand signals…
The wheels are falling off the Little Red Wagon
Re: 3-6 home stand signals…
And they took 2 of 3 from the best team the Dodgers.
No excuse getting swept by these bozos.
Need to rally!

Re: 3-6 home stand signals…
It’s who they are, pitching stinks minus Gray

Weird in that the electricity from the Herrera 3 run bomb Monday should have provided a major jolt.Strummer Jones wrote: ↑11 Jun 2025 14:52 pmAnd even more unforgivable...got curb stomped by the Royals. Embarrassing home stand. Bad, shameful baseball.
Unfortunately Helsley gives up the bomb to banjo Clase and it’s been downhill ever since.

At least Helsely will be well rested to blow another save against the brewersCusecards wrote: ↑11 Jun 2025 14:56 pmWeird in that the electricity from the Herrera 3 run bomb Monday should have provided a major jolt.Strummer Jones wrote: ↑11 Jun 2025 14:52 pmAnd even more unforgivable...got curb stomped by the Royals. Regression to mean taking place, it’s 500 team, too many wasted roster spots on Triple A players

You guys could be right, its always possible that the "wheels are falling off". Of course, many of you were the same ones saying that this was going to be a terrible season early on when the pitching imploded and you were wrong then. And the same ones that say it whenever there has been a bad spell this year. But no doubt, this was a troubling homestand, despite the good play with the Dodgers, and there is no sugar coating that. The Helsley blown save was big, but maybe even bigger are the ones he blew before this one. This was the 3rd one in row, that was what was the killer about it. You could see the team deflate, then again yesterday when they kept coming back only to see the pitchers give it right back. You score 9 runs in a game you have to win.
I am very concerned about the long term viability of the pitching staff going forward. Mikolas has mostly been good but when he is bad he's really bad. Young pitchers will struggle, and I think Libby will figure things out. I am not so sure about Pallante. I have been a big supporter of his but he just can't miss bats and many good teams are trending to putting the ball in play instead of over swinging for home runs. I just don't know if his stuff plays for the long term. And the bullpen is currently a mess and I have little hope that the current cast and Memphis shuttle group are going to figure things out. I think we need to start looking at the arms at AA. Maton and Romero have been OK, but everyone else is all over the place.
If they lose 3 out of 4 to the Brewers I think they might actually be ready to take a major downhill slide. If they can hold their own and at least split then hopefully they can hold on until they figure some things out.
With the expectations at the beginning of the season I am just happy to be having these kinds of discussions. Its been an enjoyable season for most fans so far.

Let's see what happens in Milwaukee. Big 4 game series.

That's not being angry or mean.
Re: 3-6 home stand signals…
It signals we’ve had entirely too many games against the AL and we need a turn playing the Rockies and Marlins.
We’re not gonna play any AL teams in the playoffs anyway unless we make it to the promised land. I wish we could go back to the old schedule so we only had 12 interleague games instead of every other week.

This is a good team. Young teams are notoriously inconsistent. They take your breath away with something incredible, then turn right around and take your breath away with something stupid. They will be better again. (and they will stink again) (and they will be better again)... Have a sound plan and stick to it. Don't get too caught up in the highs and lows.
