What a ridiculous article. Modern people are so soft. You want to know how I know my team has a shot at a Cup? The hockey world is calling them "dirty".
Yep….that is 100% the correct answer.
It’s SB Nation, anything they have to say about hockey should be taken with a grain of salt. I can’t purport to be a big SB Nation fan, but what I have read makes me believe they would prefer an Ice Capades version of hockey.
I'd bet the author of this story isn't old enough to remember the Broad Street Bullies! The Florida Panthers look like choir boys compared to those Flyers teams.
Oh my Lord, they’d be curled up in the fetal position in a corner having nightmares about Moose, Battleship and The Hammer

I don't know how I could guess this but I think the OP is and Oiler fan.
You might possibly be right. Here's all I know about the author of the story.
James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.

I know it is off but 2 of the three names you mention Dupont & Hammer are Canadian.
Secondly yep i am cheering for the Oilers. I do lay the blame on the loss on Kane.
No control over this guy as he skates around the ice in the pre game intros etc. then goes to the bench. Total disrespect.
Takes penalties which changes the tactic from trying to roll the lines to Penalty kill etc.. Special Teams took over.
Remember how many suspensions the Blues received during their cup run as they were taking people out left and right. When the dust settles it is about who finished 4 games with the most goals.
I'm tired of the Florida teams winning and hogging up the Stanley Cup playoffs, so I am rooting for Edmonton too. I also wrote early in the game that Kane was out of control (not exactly my words then) but really ruined the flow for the Oilers. I thought the Oilers were also guilty of way too many passes and looking for perfect shots and wasted their power plays...particularly because "Bob" can be intimidating ...but then I thought..the Oil has score something like 3-4 goalseach game on him so he is still beatable
Come on Edmonton et your act together. Win this darn series
