William Karlsson, would ya?
If L.V. moves on from Karlsson are you interested as a top 9 center fix, short term? 40-50 pts good FO % could push Schenn for the Holloway/Kryou line plenty of positives. If LV asks Karlsson to waive he has a 10 team list, $5.9 cap hit for two more seasons hard to believe the Blues would be on his no trade list

24-25 wasnt his best. Hes a decent playoff performer. Seems like he's trending the wrong way.
I say no.

Maybe, but I’m not giving a first for him

A first round pick for William Karlsson? Uh…hell no. Nothing is set in stone….the wheels could fall off next season and now you’ve lost a chance at possibly drafting a generational talent. Nobody is giving that up, especially a team that doesn’t have any guaranteesHarry S Deals wrote: ↑10 Jun 2025 12:50 pm If L.V. moves on from Karlsson are you interested as a top 9 center fix, short term? 40-50 pts good FO % could push Schenn for the Holloway/Kryou line plenty of positives. Re: William Karlsson, would ya?
Looks like Hertl cut into Karlssons time a bit and WK was injured. Paced for 14g and 30 assts over an 82 game season thats not awful but yeah Im guessing a 2nd round pick and a prospect but Army doesnt have a 2nd for a few years. Id take Karlsson hands down for the right deal
Buch Thomas Snuggerud
Holloway Schenn Kyrou
Neighbours Karlsson Bolduc
Walker Faksa Torop/Sunny
That is a clear upgrade on last years team, fairly dangerous. If Karlsson returns to form then perhaps with his skating ability, the Blues 2nd line is lethal

Re: William Karlsson, would ya?
It could certainly be a "fit". Not sure if the Blues are at the stage yet, to want high dollar hole plugger with the youth of the team here & in the pipeline. A prospect kinda, maybe could work in a trade. A 1st round pick included? [makes my face contort like I just had a big swig of pickle juice]. That is not a good thing. Patience, sez the vulture...
But Harry is right. WK is a significant upgrade at a position (center) of need.

Especially when you know he is available because they need cap space.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑10 Jun 2025 13:38 pmA first round pick for William Karlsson? Uh…hell no. He'll get a low level prospect and a late round pick. That's about it.

Spot on Jack. Give a 2026 4th and one of Peterson/Dean/Loof. Anything more and you pass.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑10 Jun 2025 14:08 pmEspecially when you know he is available because they need cap space.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑10 Jun 2025 13:38 pmA first round pick for William Karlsson? I doubt there will be a generational talent available at 20Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑10 Jun 2025 13:38 pmA first round pick for William Karlsson? Uh…hell no. Re: William Karlsson, would ya?
I’d be interested in Karlsson for the simple reason that he could come cheap. He’s due $5.9M for 2 more years and only scored 9 goals and 29 pts this season while missing 2 months to injury. Hasn’t played more than 70 games in 5 of the last 6 seasons. And if Vegas is looking to move him, it’d be because they want to add another big fish and need to dump him for cap room. So hell no would I give up a 1st and prospect for him. More like a middle pack prospect at best.

i would for right price. say karlsson and a 1st for the blues 2nd.
they want a shot at marner, thats the cost!

Re: William Karlsson, would ya?
I would think long and hard about taking that contract for futures. Nobody is taking a cap hit for the whole 5.9 x 2 and giving up much if anything. They may have to give a pick to move on. Or take back a Texier type thing.
Re: William Karlsson, would ya?
If the right deal came along for him, I think it would be a good fit.
The AI-generated NHL rumor websites are claiming Elliotte Friedman shot down those rumors. I haven't been on Sportsnet to verify, so who really knows?
All things being equal, I'd prefer Hertl, but that contract is too much for too long. We already have a similar contract with Buchnevich.

Re: William Karlsson, would ya?
Hertl is too much IMO. Karlsson I like because he should come cheap due to his relatively high AAV. But another C to consider from Vegas would be Nicolas Roy. He’d only be a 3C but probably a better fit than Sunny. Not the best option but also not the worst IMO.
