Well guys that one stings.
But just need to bounce back tomorrow.
On the plus side.....I did learn something tonight.
Here I thought AOC was that dingbat in Congress?
But it actually stands for Anti Oli Cult!
Our body Bob taught us that.
Go Cards!!

Noot needs a day off. Tomorrow I’d go with:

Winn SS
Donovan LF
Contreras 1B
Herrera DH
Burleson RF
Arenado 3B
Gorman 2B
Pages C
Scott CF

Send Vilade down and give Baker a few days on the roster until Walker comes back. At least I felt like Baker had a chance at the plate.

Marmol seems bound and determined to let him have at bats until he accidentally gets a hit. Using him as a pinch hitter is downright ludicrous.

Good point with Noot first up as….
A. He has been in hitting slump lately
B. If he can lay it down, you have Scott on 3rd with one out

Sac fly etc ties it up.
I was thinking same as you. Try to bunt him over
Oli is an awful in-game Manager.
I’m sitting there watching Scott glued to 2B with world class speed.
You HAVE to do something to get him over and in.
I honestly wanted him to try to steal third after Noot choked.
You just can’t sit in the dugout on your brains in close games.
I hope Bloom already has plans to fire this Bozo.
Exactly. He has great speed and a great base stealer on the bases and doesn't use it. So afraid of any risk whatsoever in a close game.

Obviously I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes and off the field.
So I can’t comment on that part of him as a Manager.
Based on watching the games I consider him to be clearly below average as an in-game Manager.
I’m sure he has a “plan” going into the game but as stuff happens(which it does for ALL Managers)his judgement to me is more often poor.
I just don’t think he has it.
Of course this is just my opinion on what I witness on TV not from sitting in the dugout.

Wish I could remember who said this ( a former GM type)..there 3 criteria for manager. 1 in- game decision making 2) how he motivates his players 3) how he disciplines players for violations ie. Reporting late, breaking team rules, etc.
Fans only see No.1 of those three things.

I readily admit to only seeing #1.
You are correct.
Again...from my limited vantage point I am hard pressed to find one strong positive quality in him as a Manager.
