Not being a good enough salesman to convince Gray, Contreras and Arenado to waive their no trade clauses. Swooping in to pick up Maton after no one else wanted him and he had to sign a cheap contract

The responsibilities of the POBO are vast. Check out the organizational chart. Those who think the job has only to do with player moves at the major league level are naive.

Shady wrote: 11 Mar 2025 17:18 pm Just curious. Maybe there are responsibilities he has that aren't obvious. If he really means a reset. He needs to move at least two of these three before the season starts to create spots for younger players. Those three are Arenado, Gray and Fedde. I realize two of the three have NTCs.
I'd imagine that he's done what he's probably always excelled at, which is chap his lips on the bareside of DeWitt's (donkey).
And spending time with his beautiful family!😅

Then you know the breadth of the departments and number of employers under POBO. It’s a big job. Bloom has been meeting all the people and assessing the effectiveness of the various departments since he’s been here. It takes time to learn all the aspects in any organization.

It was a JOKE cranny, c'mon man you have to still have some sense of humor.

(BTW, I've been told Bloom is making a lot more of the calls now than is being let on. )

Bloom's time in Boston doesn't inspire confidence.

Bet Bloom earns his money, he seems like a real mover and shaker.
