You could then platoon Gorman and Barrero at 2B or even bring up Saggese over Vilade?
So you despise Burleson so much you are going to sit him totally in this alignment? Despite him being one of our most consistent hitters during this streak of good play? I have no problem playing Donavon in left at time to let Gorman play more. But right now Scott is lost offensively and Noot isn't much better. When Walker is back Burlys time in the outfield will be very limited.
LMFAO
I “despise” Burleson???????

Mo is pulling out his magic, and is responsible for his judgment in having Vilade and Barrero, playing for a Central Division or wildcard title/ position. Poor judgment. Another Motter decision.

Yeah but he cant seem to hit memphis pitching this year at all.
True enough, but he'(poop) pretty well in his other 5 years in Memphis.
He had one good year (2024) at Memphis (127 wRC+), which coincided with a .351 BABIP. In 2023 he posted a 96 wRC+ (.293 BABIP) at Memphis, and so far in 2025 he’s posted a 66 wRC+ (.254 BABIP). The signal-to-noise ratio on these numbers makes his AAA track record difficult to interpret (or project).
Those signal-to-noise ratios can also be very telling, though. lol.

I vote Donovan to LF, Noot to RF and Gorman to 2B over bringing up anyone. Speaking of the OF, sure hope Scott starts figuring it out soon too. He’s becoming a liability. But, in the spirit of runway, he needs to play. There’s a weird scenario in which Gorman and Scott can share playing time. Something has to change in order for Gorman to get more PT

If Gorman is a trade piece next month, will Saggese
suffice at 3B if Arenado goes down.

It appears that Oli is doing a pretty good job juggling the pieces and managing a winning record with a flawed roster.

Good one Mort...Have to be a certain age to get that one. The Cardinals are just keeping him from starting his clock. He is only 27 they don't want to bring him up too soon so they can control him into his 40s.

Tough to say about Saggese. He's only had 40 ABs this year, but with the limited PT I've seen him, I think he's a big league player and quite possibly a starter.
It would make little sense, at least to me, that the Cardinals trade Gorman. They clearly think he's not good enough to be a regular on their team. His value has to be about as low as it has ever been. I don't see what they could get for him that would balance out Gorman's potential. Can they get lower potential with more certainty and is that something the Cardinals really want to risk....again? I doubt it, but I'm still bullish on Gorman. At least, he needs the "runway" to sink or swim himself. Right now, the Cardinals have made that decision for him. It's a shame.

Exactly, NY----- ???. How many posters on CT do you think know what "signal-to-noise ratio" means? Why always try to impress others on how much you know, and use terms that we are supposed to be impressed with?
