Something you DON'T want Rainiel ever doing again.... turns a stand up Triple into a Double and out at 3B....watch the video. Beautiful swing, but standing at homeplate to admire a ball off the wall...no no no
He won the game with the swing, but there were still 3 innings left to play, and Palm Beach's BP is a mess (they succeeded last night).

Outside of McGreevy, which starting pitcher has the quickest route to the big club? The pitching depth, starters and relievers are a concern for this season.

Quinn Mathews is making his first start back at Memphis today. If he proves healthy and shows well, he could be in St Louis by the end of the season.redbirdfan51 wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 12:58 pm Outside of McGreevy, which starting pitcher has the quickest route to the big club? Mathews had on May 31st with memphis wasnt great but hopefully just working back from injury.
Id say Ixan might move faster then we think all of his numbers are good hes 23 and had a decent amount of innings last year. Ready for him to be in Memphis

But that would require them to take away starts from the great Curtis Taylor.tyoung12290 wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 13:46 pm Mathews had on May 31st with memphis wasnt great but hopefully just working back from injury.

I'd like to see him at Memphis soon. He has been a pleasant surprise this season.Futuregm2 wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 13:56 pmBut that would require them to take away starts from the great Curtis Taylor.tyoung12290 wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 13:46 pm Mathews had on May 31st with memphis wasnt great but hopefully just working back from injury.

starters ~ Ixan Henderson or Max Rajcic. If you're looking for an emergency start, they have the innings under their belt. They might not stick in the rotation, but I don't think we're looking for that this season. We're looking to put an arm out there. At minimum, those two are probably your best bet outside of Graceffo. I wouldn't want to throw Mathews into that mix until I'm 100% certain his mechanics aren't out of whack, which are the cause of his 2025 ills.redbirdfan51 wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 12:58 pm Outside of McGreevy, which starting pitcher has the quickest route to the big club? Long term starting outside of McGreevy? Ixan or Quinn. Gordon and Max are too inconsistent to rely on for 30 starts in a Major League season.
BP ~ Granillo, O'Brien....maybe Fernandez if he pitches well in Memphis. Rajcic to the BP eventually? Graceffo, too? Bedell if he can keep his shadow from injuring him might work.
