What does a brand-spanking-new 2C look like?

I'll connect the dots for you.

1. The Blues need a 2C
2. No one has an idea where our 2C will come from
3. The Blues have needed a 2C for years
4. Without a 2C, the Blues do not have 2 scoring lines.
5. Calum Ritchie is an elite 2C
6. The reviews of Calum Ritchie are exceptional and better than any that I have seen for any of our 2023 draft choices.
7. The Blues could have easily drafted Ritchie, and they chose not to.
8. Had the Blues drafted Ritchie, we would be dreaming about our 2C play now, instead of continuing to wander in the desert.
9. So why did the Blues draft Stenberg over Ritchie?

Again, your point is obvious. Your main error though is #5. He’s an elite 2C? He has the potential to be but he sure as heck isn’t today. He has 1 NHL point. What, you read some Islanders fan blog fluff piece that said he’s awesome so now he’s awesome? Get out of here with this cr@p.

I for one, had 1 player ranked higher than Stenberg that was still on the board at pick 23 2 years ago. It was Calum Ritchie. I recall Hockey Pete really liked him too. So yeah, I would’ve taken Ritchie over Stenberg. But he hasn’t proven anything. I think there’s a good chance he makes the Isles out of camp but you’re acting as if he’s already some bonafide superstar. It’s embarrassingly silly.

Ok. Well Stenberg (and Dvorsky) and Ritchie are forever linked. We'll see how good Army is at talent evaluation.

The 2023 draft had many great prospects that will be filling NHL rosters. Army had 3 picks, and none of them have made it to the NHL yet. Is this why Armstrong is so keen on calling the re-whatever over? Because he doesn't want the fans to evaluate his 2023 draft?

Some think Army is outstanding in the draft. I think that he is average at best. Armstrong is not the kind of guy that will find superstar talent lower in the draft.

By the way, who drafted Robert Thomas? Parayko? How about ROR, who Army was able to acquire for Thompson? He picked up a Conn Smythe winner.

Although the trade worked out great for us I think luck played a part. When ROR went public with his discontent in Buffalo, it was just a matter of time before he was gone. Kudos to Army for realizing ROR would regain his love for the game in St. Louis and took the chance that I don't think any other GM was willing to.

I don't know if O'Reilly ever really lost his love for the game, I think he simply said that to get out of Buffalo. I'm sure he made it known that he was done and wanted out and they evidently were demanding way too much. Make a public statement like that and well they can't trade you fast enough.

Yep. Just like Eichel did what he needed to do to get out of there too. And I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a big problem trying to re-sign JJ Peterka. He’s a RFA this summer. Heck, Berglund basically quit hockey and forfeited millions because he hated Buffalo so much. Sobotka hated it there too.

And also Byram. It seems odd that 3 or 4 sources, separately, came out within days of each other indicating Byram was looking to get out, and then his agent came out and only offered a sort of luke warm rebuttal of that narrative.

I don't know who or what the problem is there. It can't be the weather, I mean many of these guys are from extreme cold weather cities so weather isn't an issue. Is it the Pegulas that are the issue? I believe Terry is pretty hands off as he concentrates way more on the Bills, so maybe his wife is an issue? Is it the management? I have never heard anything positive, but nothing overly negative about Kevyn Adams, who by the way just hired one Jarmo Kekalainen as an advisor.

Is it all the losing? The constant coaching changes? Maybe a combination of all of it?

Whatever it is, they have serious issues that they need to get fixed and you would think with some urgency as they can't keep doing this.

i cooked pork steaks but with a twist. I simmered them in bbq sauce bear and onions for 2 hours.

It was freaking amazing.

2 hours is a long simmer...must have been great.

I usually do about 1 hour after the grill and they're super tender!

so you put them into an aluminum bake sheet and fill it with bbq sauce onions and beer. The beer tenderizes and keeps the bbq sauce from caramelizing. let it simmer for 2 hours and the pork falls off the bone amazinig

Nub after grilling or before? I put pork steaks in the oven after.

When I do ribs I foil and garlic up then bake for 45 mins before the grill then finish them off 35-40 mins on the grill after the oven.

No the 2 hour simmer cookes them you can do grill or oven if you want you can sear finish i dont.
