Men's National Team.

Post by edwin drood »

Next Sat (6/7) vs Turkey.
Tuesday (6/10) vs Switzerland
Both matches on TBS.

Following those 2 friendlies, CONCACAF Matches start. First up Trinidad and Tobago, followed by Saudi Arabia.

As CONCACAF consists of teams from North America, Central America and The Caribbean, what the hell is Saudi Arabia doing on the schedule?

Brazil was a guest team in 1998.

South Korea and Peru were guest teams in 2000.

Qatar was a guest team in 2021 and 2023z

It was bad enough with all of the ex player talking heads criticizing Pulisic but now the coach is doing it? What a disaster - these games don't mean a thing...what does matter is having Pulisic healthy for the world cup after his torturous European schedule - these people aren't robots.

Here is the problem.

They didn’t qualify for the knockout stage at Copa America last summer.

They lost to Panama and Canada at Nations League.

Why not go out and win the Gold Cup and right the ship?

The fan base is apathetic towards this team right now.

I remember before the World Cup in 2010 Landon Donovan went out on loan to Everton before the World Cup to be in form for the event?

Whatever happened to the Clint Dempsey type of player that showed up when his country called?

If the coach can coach, then win it with the B+ team.

Yes, the Gold Cup will take a little bit of a back seat the FIFA Club WC.

So, use this summer to build some depth and confidence for next summer.

There is an unfortunate amount of morons who just don't understand this. I'm guessing what Pochettino said was just a little coach-speak, but too many others are so dense they just don't understand.

So when did the US become good enough to just show up at the World Cup and do well?

If the US makes at least the quarterfinals next year I guess Pulisic and will be right?

If they don’t make it out of the group it will be a bad look.

Again. Had they reached the Copa America semi-final and won Nations League and were in fine form.

Maybe.

They haven’t been in fine form.

Did the coach call him Christian or Pulisic when he said all of this?

First name means I'm talking to you. Last name means I'm talking to the team.
