Potter has looked pretty good in the viewings that I’ve had of him. Brings a lot of the intangibles for sure. I don’t know how productive he’s gonna be in the NHL though.

Agree. I've consistently seen him in the 20+ range. Surprised to see the jump lately, given his size. Will be interesting to see who grabs him despite that. And at what slot.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025 18:14 pm Potter has looked pretty good in the viewings that I’ve had of him. Brings a lot of the intangibles for sure. sounds a lot like Ozzy Wiesblatt.. which I had high hopes for but can't seem to take the next stepPierre McGuire wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025 18:14 pm Potter has looked pretty good in the viewings that I’ve had of him. I was a big fan of Ozzy's game in juniors....still think the Sharks gave up on him a bit too soon. He had a nice year last year and got some games in for the Predators.moose-and-squirrel wrote: ↑04 Jun 2025 06:59 amsounds a lot like Ozzy Wiesblatt.. which I had high hopes for but can't seem to take the next stepPierre McGuire wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025 18:14 pm Potter has looked pretty good in the viewings that I’ve had of him. If Roger McQueen is available at 19 the Blues would be idiots not to risk that pick on him...they had no problem with the injury prone Jiricek, who may or may not wash out big time.

I think he drops a bit, maybe outside the top-10…but I’d be beyond shocked if he dropped to 19. He’d have to bomb every single one of his interviews horribly this week to drop something like that.smilinjoefission wrote: ↑04 Jun 2025 09:44 am If Roger McQueen is available at 19 the Blues would be idiots not to risk that pick on him...they had no problem with the injury prone Jiricek, who may or may not wash out big time.

#23 – Shane Vansaghi – RW – Michigan State University Good to see a local boy included in the first round. I watched him play a couple of times in his u16 year when my kid had games before or after his.

Jiricek had three different injuries this year and had injury before he was drafted as well. Concussions and legs this year.
We can't say what McQueen will experience this coming year but he's in my category of "players who should be taken before the Blues pick who I really hope do not drop." This year it's McQueen and Mrtka, Mrtka looks like a weaker, less effective Tyler Myers to me.

I hope somebody gambles on McQueen before we have to make that decision.
