CFN previews Missouri football 2025

Post by jcgmoi »

Missouri is playing with the big boys in the transfer portal, and it’s about to show against a schedule that misses almost everyone big in the SEC, and the really good teams on the slate have to come to Columbia.

With open dates before both Alabama and A&M, you couldn't ask for any better. However, they have recently seemed to struggle in games after weeks off.

Early on it looks as if the script has flipped from 2024 when the offense was predicted to be the strength of the team over the defense and now it appears to be the opposite.

This is definitely the schedule to make a playoff run.

Need to take advantage of this to keep the national spotlight, recruiting and portal momentum going.

"As long as the quarterback situation is solid"

Hmmmmm.

All the optimistic verbiage from this CFN article reminds me of the past few years and, in addition, this not so much small quote is one worry the Tigers pretty much had avoided.

I agree about the schedule and I do believe great things can be had but dad burn it this team has to have some magical moments come busting through, unlike the recent years of the past.

Pretty fair assessment. In a rebuilding year, I’d take 9-3 all day.

Funny thing about schedules, they’re always assessed based on last year. Every year there are 2-3 surprise teams and 2-3 flops. Often those flops are Florida and Tennessee, who we “avoid” playing. You don’t know until the season finishes. Not too worried about the schedule debate because you play who’s on the schedule. It might turn out to be a great schedule. We’ll see.

We should be fun to watch regardless.
