We have signed LHP Tyler Matzek to a minor league contract and assigned him to Memphis (AAA).

Matzek, 34, owns a career 3.73 ERA across seven Major League seasons and won a World Series championship with Atlanta in 2021. He appeared in 7 games with the Yankees earlier this year.

Petrutz has spent the better part of the last 2 weeks in and out of the lineup. Various injuries, and he's already had a stint on the IL this season. He didn't land on the IL today, so he may be available this week.

- then a string of releases and FA signings
- signed for a 2nd stint with the Cardinals in 2019-2029 off season. Had a short cup of coffee in the bigs in 2020. Released at the end of the year.
- rejoined the Cardinals in early 2025. Now released again.

What’s with the development list? Been looking for showalter. Could that be injury or just working with coaches? Didn’t thing he got lit up or anything before disappearing
