The organization is blessed. We haven't traded a player who had more than 1 100 RBI season since Johnny Mize after the 1941 season. I don't count Adolis Garcia with a .295 lifetime OBP.Jatalk wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025 09:36 amHonestly all those moves I thought were great moves. None were the talent level of Albert but supposedly big talents. It’s almost like the organization is jinxed.thetank2 wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025 09:05 amThey, also, tried to get Stanton, Price and Heyward. Thank goodness that didn't happen.Jatalk wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025 06:56 amAgree with you. The truly elite are rare and with current salary structure in baseball chances of playing for Cards is not likely, unless rises through organizational ranks.
In some ways management has tried to provide us with such players with Arenado and Goldy. But obviously they were and are disappointments.

Garcia had 2 100 RBI seasons whether you like it or not.thetank2 wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025 11:00 amThe organization is blessed. I’m sure you are well aware but Wank can’t be taken seriously. He thinks Gorman is special.Futuregm2 wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025 11:13 amGarcia had 2 100 RBI seasons whether you like it or not.thetank2 wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025 11:00 amThe organization is blessed.
