Silly,

Rainiel Rodriguez actually dropped in the ranking while hitting .370 with 7 HRs and 16 RBIs and a 1.372 OPS in 75 PAs since the last time it was updated.

Must be quite a system the Cardinals have going!

It's rather surprising that neither Saggese or Roby are on the Cardinals top ten list. They probably both should be.

What’s not surprising is that you would bring them up.

But Saggese went from outside of the top 10 to inside the top 10 to back outside the top 10 in 2 months time. And on the last “updated” prospect list by McDaniel Hence managed to climb in ranking despite being sidelined with an injury. And as I said Rainiel Rodriguez fell in their ranking despite hitting .370 with a 1.300+ OPS for the FCL Cardinals.

I think they are updating it too much, but it gives people something to talk about, which you should appreciate.

The reference to Hjerpe underperforming is quite interesting, given he's on the IL after TJ surgery.

Saggese and Roby should be ahead of Hence and Hjerpe, right now. McGreevy should be ahead of Mathews.

I would probably agree with Hjerpe but why Hence? Roby’s injury history is every bit as bad as Hence’s and Hence has a better K/9, ERA, and has given up fewer H/9 in the minors. Hence’s ERA in AA is almost a full run lower than Roby’s for their careers. Yes, we know you just discovered Roby, but there is a reason Hence is higher.

Hopefully both will find a way to get past their injury troubles and be a big part of the Cardinals, but I have my doubts with both.

McGreevy should be at 2, Saggese at 3. Roby might be 4 or 5. McGreevy and Saggese have already done well in short stints with the Cardinals. Recently, Roby has been the second best pitcher behind McGreevy.

They make updates so often, b/c they really have no idea. Nobody does with prospects. The rankings are silly and meaningless.

Hard to understand why ESPN.com hasn’t hired you as their MLB prospects expert . . .

Why would you rate him above Bernal?
