Re: Hendel's
This has been one of our favorite restaurants for over twenty years. They also have one of the best patios in the area.

It's one of the best places to eat in St Louis - I've never had a bad meal and try to go at least twice a month.
I love that French themed neighborhood.

I guess it's and improvement over that bad St. Louis style Italian slop you like to slurp down on the Hill, big improvement!BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑21 May 2025 12:16 pm It's one of the best places to eat in St Louis - I've never had a bad meal and try to go at least twice a month.

We were there last night with friends, sat on the patio. It was all as good as I remembered. It is truly a hidden gem. By the way, they don't take reservations, but you can get on a wait list while on your way.

I don't eat much Italian food in town here, St. Louis Italians went completely sideways with their 'local variations' of the cuisine. Confounding garbage in most cases, provel on everything, sorry not sorry. The one exception for me is Gioa's deli, that's it.abuxb wrote: ↑02 Jun 2025 23:01 pmOcaj prefers Olive Garden.-ocaj wrote: ↑25 May 2025 18:30 pmI guess it's and improvement over that bad St. Louis style Italian slop you like to slurp down on the Hill, big improvement!BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑21 May 2025 12:16 pm It's one of the best places to eat in St Louis - I've never had a bad meal and try to go at least twice a month.

That's interesting because the one place that I really don't care for is Gioa's. I'll take Joe Fassi's or Adriana's over Gioa's anytime.-ocaj wrote: ↑05 Jun 2025 16:41 pmI don't eat much Italian food in town here, St. Louis Italians went completely sideways with their 'local variations' of the cuisine. This highlighted statement proves you're a complete moron who likely frequents Fazzoli's. I've been to all the Italian restaurants on The Hill, and many others not on The Hill, and none of them use provel on "everything". Possibly a few use it in salads, that's it. So does lying make you feel better?-ocaj wrote: ↑05 Jun 2025 16:41 pmI don't eat much Italian food in town here, St. Louis Italians went completely sideways with their 'local variations' of the cuisine. Ahh! It appears I struck a nerve with another defensive parochial knob who can't take it when someone who came from somewhere else doesn't covet the cultural atrocity that is known as 'St. Louis Italian/Pizza'. No one is saying you can't love it, so by all means, have some baked 'muskacholey' on me! Don't forget the elmers glue on top! lolSRV1990 wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 15:37 pmThis highlighted statement proves you're a complete moron who likely frequents Fazzoli's. Thinned skinned anger bot whose momma had a mustache no doubt. Which provel palace belongs to your family? Cunetto's slop house? Go there and slurp it down, meet my man Gio for Eye-talian atmosphere. Mama Mia!!SRV1990 wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 16:00 pmYep, a complete [fork]ing moron who takes his hand to Fazzoli's on date night.-ocaj wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 15:54 pmAhh! Sorry about that, I should know better than to entertain comments from a complete [ablution]. I'm sure he'll eventually get caught at his usual dining spot Fazzoli's giving some random a handy in the men's room.Cajanek-Spielmacher wrote: ↑06 Jun 2025 22:42 pm SVR1990 please quit "quoting" The O and/or the A.
