Everett has a good team, I really wish Everett instead played in Tacoma. If you tilt the map where West is up top, Everett is over to the far right of that metro area and I'm on the opposite side adjacent to Tacoma.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑31 May 2025 11:57 amlol maybe! It seems like Michigan, Michigan State and some of the Big East teams are getting most of these guys. Oddly enough, it’s been absolute crickets for the Golden Gophers.
Was somewhat surprised NoDak was able to land both Reschny and Verhoeff. NoDak has probably the best arena/facilities in the NCAA but they’ve been trending down the last few years. It’s cold as balls there and I’d imagine a tough sell. And a lot of their top players just transferred out, namely Sasha Boisvert (to BU) and Jayden Perron (to Michigan). So them getting these 2 guys is probably a godsend to them. …and absolute disaster for the Victoria Royals.

Not sure why you didn’t just say Everett is at the far north of the Seattle metro area and you’re near Tacoma at the far south but I’m following ya lol.seattleblue wrote: ↑31 May 2025 14:19 pmEverett has a good team, I really wish Everett instead played in Tacoma. But isn’t the Thunderbirds arena on the south part of the metro too? I remember it being not too far from the airport. They probably wouldn’t want to be that close to each other.
But yeah, I get that it would be nice if Everett was closer. My brother lives in Seattle and I’ve told him he needs to go up to Everett sometime just to see Landon Dupont in person. But they’ve got lots of quality players…at least until the NCAA steals them anyway.

Re: Memorial Cup
Because if you tilt it that way, the whole region just makes more sense. Because when you look at it the traditional way it seems like everyone's clustering to get up out and away from the rest of the country or something. The other way you can see how it's the Sound bracketed by Mt Rainier to the bottom left and the olympic peninsula up top, and it makes sense why people would spread out this way in this region. Or it could just be the Jack Herer telling me all that.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑31 May 2025 14:40 pmNot sure why you didn’t just say Everett is at the far north of the Seattle metro area and you’re near Tacoma at the far south but I’m following ya lol.seattleblue wrote: ↑31 May 2025 14:19 pmEverett has a good team, I really wish Everett instead played in Tacoma. Great game going on here…rooting for my Tigers
Re: Memorial Cup
Agree, this is a pretty good game.
And it's nice to have some hockey since the Stanley Cup Finals aren't scheduled until 2026 it seems.
I'm also liking this Brzustewicz kid that Seattleblue talks about.

Re: Memorial Cup
Refs letting them play; which is nice.
London is so good at pressuring.

Re: Memorial Cup
Flyers prospect Denver Barkey makes it 3-0.
Re: Memorial Cup
Cayden Lindstrom going headhunting.
Thought the Tigers would take their timeout. but I guess they're getting enough breaks with all these commercial breaks.

Re: Memorial Cup
London just has more talent. Hoping MH can get one to make it at least interesting.
Re: Memorial Cup
Lindstrom getting reckless.
