Who? Who was Jake Arrietta drafted in like the 31st round, who was Orel Hershier drafted in the 17th round out of Bowling Green? We got 1st round draft choices like Flaherty, as I mentioned before it would be nice if it could be a McGreevy, Quinn Matthews. Another mentioned Roby, could be a Hence or Hjerpe. We definitely got big names like a Sonny Gray that could be that guy, Liberatore could be. Saw some fans calling for a Nado trade to the Dodgers for Bobby Miller, James Outman. Who was Michael Wacha? They are all over.Adam2 wrote: ↑31 May 2025 10:38 amwho? name one. also one that that team would trade. i hear kyle gibson may be availableIke Hammett wrote: ↑31 May 2025 10:29 amGet real, everyone knows Orel Hershiser in 1988 was the greatest second half of all time. Guys like Hershiser and Arrietta are out there if you can find them.Adam2 wrote: ↑31 May 2025 09:50 amdefinitely, we absolutely should acquire a second half Jack Flaherty, who had pretty much the second best SP half of a season of anyone in the history of the game other than Jake Arrieta. A shutdown ace that could almost by himself win a couple of playoff games. Love Pallante, Mikolas and Fedde for innings eating and regular season stuff but in the playoff against full strength playoff line ups, that doesn't seem like an advantage and a team that feels like an early exit in the postseason. It would be best if it could be a minor leaguer like Graceffo, Matthews or McGreevy.

Washington is a team getting close in their build and Wood
has to be considered a large part of it. Yes a great get.
Just need an adjective or two in front of "expensive".

Got it, pitchers who can have legendary historic second halves of the season are all over. Who knew it was so easy? Certainly not me, or any front office in baseball. But you got it . Both.
And you alluded to what they can do. The surplus is
in more than C which currently isn't much of an
issue when Pozo moves on. Deciding which horse to bet
on for 2026 and beyond is the best path IMO.

So who do you like? Who will you show up to watch every game, buy their jersey and stand up for against all the online haters such as yourself? I got my guys that I wanted, Goldy, Nado and Contreras. They've done good and the Cards did well but evidently my picks are not good enough for you haters. I will support who you haters like, let's find a concensus on that. Who are your guys that are realistic gets to make the team you want and will support?Adam2 wrote: ↑31 May 2025 11:22 amGot it, pitchers who can have legendary historic second halves of the season are all over. Rentals are bought every TD. The Cards have some available. Pitchers make up a list as long
as my arm in the FA pool, some very cheap. Identifying the correct ones, a little difficult.

I think some people get too wrapped up in who the owners or GM's are.
For some It gets totally dictated by the W/L record.
St. Louis is a small market that in prior years could play up. The fan base afforded them
to do that. It is still a small market with Midwestern economics up against team that are able to
charge twice as much for eveything. Reno Aces games can cost as much as Cardinals games.

Yo dude, be part of the club! Root for the team, root for the players, support the organization. When you do and bring lots of others with you we can be on the level of the Dodgers, Yanks, Phillies, Red Sox etc. More support and passion equals an upward spiral to better more high priced players, better experiences at the ballpark, more security and attractions downtown, more fun and good times. Will pay their hard earned disposable income to support have fun rooting for, move to downtown and appreciate it.Adam2 wrote: ↑31 May 2025 11:58 amI wouldn't go downtown to a game for this ownership if they traded for Ohtani and Judge. Only watching on the couchIke Hammett wrote: ↑31 May 2025 11:50 amSo who do you like? Who will you show up to watch every game, buy their jersey and stand up for against all the online haters such as yourself? I got my guys that I wanted, Goldy, Nado and Contreras. They've done good and the Cards did well but evidently my picks are not good enough for you haters. I will support who you haters like, let's find a concensus on that. Who are your guys that are realistic gets to make the team you want and will support?Adam2 wrote: ↑31 May 2025 11:22 amGot it, pitchers who can have legendary historic second halves of the season are all over. Who knew it was so easy? Certainly not me, or any front office in baseball. But you got it . KudosIke Hammett wrote: ↑31 May 2025 11:00 amWho? Dude set the record most consecutive scoreless innings in a row. Oh yeah, there is a bulldog out there somewhere that can take a somewhat average club not expected to do much with little star power, win an NLCS MVP and carry a club to the championship. Should be available. Teams will definitely trade that to us. Shut down aces available a dime a dozenIke Hammett wrote: ↑30 May 2025 17:35 pmA 2019 second half Jack Flaherty. It would be best if it could be a minor leaguer like Graceffo, Matthews or McGreevy.
geez
And if they actually went out and got them, would you support them and appreciate it? Or bash on the people that actually did what you wanted and worked hard to give it to you?
You "fans" SUCK!
You deserve the Sacramento A's or Pirates, you are the WORST! Just want to bellyache and moan no matter what and won't support the club. You will destroy Cards baseball, the city of St. Louis and this country and then call yourself the best fans in the game.
Peeeee youuuuuu! You STINK!
You do the opposite, you will get the downward spiral and create the opposite.

I’m on board. Being buyers in 2025 only delays the deep postseason run.Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑31 May 2025 07:49 amThen take some of the prospects we have in our system and some you get in these trades and package them for a legit number 1 or 2 starter in the offseason who has some years of control. Being buyers in 2025 only delays a deep postseason run by a year or more.Ronnie Dobbs wrote: ↑31 May 2025 07:47 amAre you throwing in the towel for 2025? If so, then sure. If not, you're selling 2/5 of your rotation and two backend pieces of your bullpen for for bullpen help. Where does that then leave you? With maybe a better bullpen and a four man rotation?BrockFloodMaris wrote: ↑30 May 2025 21:23 pmSell Fedde
