KG didn't last long in Baltimore

Right-hander Kyle Gibson is signing with the Rays, reports Jon Heyman of The New York Post. It’s unclear if it’s a major or minor league deal. If it’s a big league deal, the Rays have an open 40-man spot after designating catcher Ben Rortvedt for assignment earlier today, so they would only need to make a corresponding active roster move.

If he would have retired he could have said he was a winning pitcher. Now, it’s up in the air as he sits at a 112-111 career record. Rays must be trying to push the 115 win retirement tour.

I bet Kyle and his 5.25 mil from Baltimore is feeling pretty good about the decision...

Rays have been big winners in the last week or so.
probably hoping Gibson can help them keep that up.

It just doesn't seem to work well for pitchers when they don't have a regular spring training.
