Hyman likely to miss rest of playoffs, will have surgery
EDMONTON -- Zach Hyman is likely out for the rest of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with an upper-body injury sustained in the Edmonton Oilers' 4-1 win against the Dallas Stars in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final at Rogers Place on Tuesday, coach Kris Knoblauch said.
The forward will have surgery Wednesday.
"We'll just leave it as upper body," Knoblauch said. "It will be a while, so we're not expecting him back for the playoffs.
"He's put everything out there. You look at everything he's done the last two years. Last year, he scored about 70 goals and numerous big important goals in the playoffs. This year, he's scored key goals but the physical department, how many hits he had, his two-way play was tremendous.
"And now that we're going to be missing him, we'll need other guys to step up."

Karma has a way of coming back to bite you on the (donkey). Nurse's blatant, intentional slash on Hintz causing him to miss game three, then, in game four, Bouchard intentionally slashing Hintz's ankle once more. According to the TNT annoucer, the ref, after seeing Bouchard pull his cheap [shirt], went to the Edmonton bench and told them, in no uncertain terms, that's it, no more of the cheap play.

So much respect for him. He’s tough as nails. When a guy like that goes off the way he did, you know it’s bad.
He was truly elite these playoffs in so many ways

Another guy Toronto was unable to keep around because of their obsession with the core four

Agreed. Nurse should have received a major for that. It was a healthy chop and intent to injure. Oil certainly missed Hyman. I thought he jammed or may have broken his wrist.Spyro Gyra wrote: ↑28 May 2025 12:55 pm EDMONTON -- Zach Hyman is likely out for the rest of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with an upper-body injury sustained in the Edmonton Oilers' 4-1 win against the Dallas Stars in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final at Rogers Place on Tuesday, coach Kris Knoblauch said.

You’re so transparent. If Hyman wore a Blues jersey you’d hate his guts. You troll.
Remember when you told people you were a mental health professional?

So weird too, drooling and fawning over a guy cuz he went off the ice injured? What do other players do, just lay down and die? What else was he supposed to doBackesdraft wrote: ↑28 May 2025 13:37 pmYou’re so transparent. If Hyman wore a Blues jersey you’d hate his guts. You troll.

Nobody saw him as this type of player. Blues punted Perron too and he turned into a beast later in his career that helped win a cup.
I mean did you see Hyman turning into this? Setting all time playoff records?
Nobody did. It’s remarkable

And, of course, the hit that put Hyman out of the Finals was delivered by generational thug Mason Marchment, whose late father Bryan was suspended at least a dozen times from nine teams for dirty hits on star players. Every time Marchment smiles and laughs to taunt opponents, I want to see the butt-end of a graphite stick go right through his teeth....behind the play, of course. Hey, maybe it will happen tonight. One can always hope. Or, if the Oilers win tonight, perhaps someone in a white sweater will throw a punch during the postgame handshake.
