Atrocious bully.
cubs call up a 30 year old journeyman back up catcher Reese McGuire, and he hits two homers in Cincy in his debut game with the small bears............one the tying run in the 8th.......... 8O
They’ve got devils magic when it comes to catchers this season they picked up Carson Kelly who has bounced around and sucked most of his career and he turned into a monster

he did on his first hit
It's a start but dang I just wish he would drive the ball ............ Walker in last 3 weeks is now 9 for 24 a .375 batting average ..
3 of the 9 were extra base hits .. so 1/3 of them ... As you saw today , he did drive the ball once .. out about 390 ft to dead center .
he smoked two last night

he doesn't look so stiff with his lower body --- looking much more fluid and athletic. I sure hope he has turned a corner as he could be a difference maker in this lineup.

Total collapse from Cincy. Twice in 3 days against the cubs.
8 unanswered now from Cubs
11-8 cubs. Unbelievable

yay
so let's win this one
Not gonna get my hopes up yet. Cubs were down 6-2 on Friday and scored 11 runs the last 3 innings to win 13-6. Reds do could easily be looking at a sweep of the Cubs.
fgm2 being prescient

With Walker hitting well now , see him getting the bulk of games in RF with no more splitting time with Burly. Plus once Contreras returns to 1st base , Burly will be limited there .. Herrera will be the DH

See Burly getting less playing time moving forward .. used more as replacement on rest days
He has a nice batting average for sure but no real full time position on this team currently . Would some team wanting him in their lineup full time offer a trade for Burly AND would Cardinals move him since not really a full time starter ??
