I must admit that as much as Bouchard reminds of another enigma, who plays for us, he is dazzling to watch when he is unconscious. Just like the guy in our team. Breathtaking grace at speed.

I just got my firestick set up so i can watch games league wide. Did hyman turn up the hits last years playoffs too? And why do you think he doesn’t incorporate that into his regular season play? Dude has 90 hits already!!theograce wrote: ↑23 May 2025 22:14 pmIf someone put a gun to my head I’d bet on the panthers. And he hasn't turned it on yet.
Be a killer series though. Hyman is throwing 10 hard hits a game … it’s crazy.

I agree 100% with what DeBoer said about in his post game presser. If that same play happened with McDavid being the player getting slashed and helped off the ice in the same way Hintz was, it's a 5 minute major, no question. Any one that watches NHL hockey should know this is exactly right. Nurse targeted that area knowing there is little or no protection there. Like I said earlier in the thread, if Hintz can't play, it's time for an eye for an eye. Dallas should target either McDavid or Leon.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑24 May 2025 10:07 amIt’s …interesting how the NHL rules on the more vicious penalties.
If they knew Nurse calculated and targeted that exact soft Achilles-heel type of area, they might suspend him. It seems they rule as if the slash, vicious hack that it was, had landed three inches higher, there would have been no “real” injury and leave it as a minor.
I garauntee Nurse picked his spot and nailed it, but that is impossible to prove, absolutely.
It’s pale, in comparison to the chicken [shirt] drive-by that Petrovaginalo pulled to end Draisaitl’s dominance over himself and the Vegas Mobsters a couple of years ago. Draisaitl was historic up til that [nonsense] ended his effectiveness..

Because it takes a lot out of you. Need to preserve for when it matters. He’s not 26 anymore. He scores goals and does so much. He’s like Perron (got better with age). He’s not just throwing token hits either. He rocked guys in the Vegas series. I didn’t know he was that good at hitting.Younghopp1991 wrote: ↑24 May 2025 10:16 amI just got my firestick set up so i can watch games league wide. He’s full of it. Pietrangelo had a far, far worse slash (on the hands) of Drai and got 1 game.Spyro Gyra wrote: ↑24 May 2025 10:27 amI agree 100% with what DeBoer said about in his post game presser. When’s the last time you saw a major for a penalty for a slash to the shin pad/foot? That’s why Nurse was standing over him calling him a f’in [kittycat]
Re: Oilers are ...
Just saw a clip of that Nurse slash. Yikes.
Re: Oilers are ...
Oil may have won 5 of the 6 periods so far; but with Skinner in nets all it takes is one bad period (he implodes like no other). he's that bad (reminds me of Martin Jones). next game is huge; obviously. Dallas better start showing up 5 on 5.

He intended to injure him and then injured him …. Then knowing he intentionally injured him stood over him repeatedly calling him an f’in [kittycat]Spyro Gyra wrote: ↑24 May 2025 12:14 pmYikes, indeed. Targeted with intent to injure. Bush league move, from a bush league defenseman.
That’s what you truly believe?
Guys take slashes like that and worse often in these games.
Re: Oilers are ...
Thats almost funny. You just spent the first two pages of this thread creaming over them, then betting money, then creaming over McJesus.Cardsfanforlife wrote: ↑24 May 2025 12:19 pmNo oilers fan here, but that was a love tap. Ridiculous they even reviewed.

With hindsight, I think he should have gotten the five minutes, but no suspension. The slash may have fractured one or more of the bones in his foot's instep.
Unlike Petrovaginalo's slash on Draisaitl, this was not cold and cowardly. This was a heat-of-the-moment response ( yes- a vicious response) to a solid crosscheck from behind by Hintz.
Draisatl was helping the Oil tie the second round series in Game four when he was crippled as he looked for an empty net goal with a 4-1 lead ,
In the ten playoff games thus far, he had scored 13 goals with five assists,. He was held pointless in the last two games as the Knights never lost another game that series.
Never getting out of the second round, Draisaitl's 13 goals still tied for the most in the entire 2023 playoffs.
Re: Oilers are ...
They already have been with late hits and sticks. The last thing the stars need is being on the pk because they are getting worked at ES

Hockey is a strange game.
KK, our waiver bait, scores big play-off goal, shares the ice w/ McJesus.
McJesus not saved ! Dallas kicked while they're up.
