Rain.

Post by sikeston bulldog2 »

Good morning.

Radar shows scattered showers currently, with a larger mass of light to moderate rain moving west to east.

I’d expect rain off and on during game, maybe some lightning delays.

Question. Who does a rainy day benefit most- defensive or offensive

And does the weather affect the sweep odds.

Any eyes on the weather.

It’s fading away; the ashes, the rain, and I.

Is that you Steve Templeton? Is this just going to be a run of the mill rain day or is this going to be a you rolling up your sleeves and warning of us of bowling ball sized hail and EF9 tornados kind of day where you constantly interrupt the sporting event being broadcast?

The weather app on my phone says spot showers off and on a decent part of the day. These guys are pros and I don't think the weather phases them. I'm sure AZ would prefer to get this game in. Assuming it is their only trip here this year and they don't want to have to take some random detour in mid-August on a Monday or Thursday to come make up one game.

Ha. Funny. My buddies call me Cantore. You make good points. Reference travel, especially late season if both teams are relevant.

A fellow weather geek. I wear that badge proudly.

Ya. Didn't factor in that it would impact the Cards travel as well. Would suck if they have to fly home for a day for something like that between series on a road trip. The league tries to accommodate but there are only so many in common open days.

Cantore, that's good. We have a running joke that if there is a hurricane in the forecast and Jim Cantore shows up in your city you are effed. It's not really a joke. I often wonder how that guy hasn't been killed by flying hurricane debris as he's standing on the street in Key West while they eye wall blows thru.

It's raining in Creve Coeur right now for whatever that is worth. My dog wants his walk. He's gonna have to wait it out.

Yea there’s a little bit of circulation down in the ozarks moving predominantly east. It’s expanding the showers north eastward. The circulation may dive towards Memphis / Jackson direction, which will keep STL on the north and drier side.

However, if it don’t dive, showers will be more often and a tad harder. My concern- about third inning of a well pitched game, comes lightning delays- goodbye starter.

Looking out my office window it's sprinkling a little harder now.

No forecast for thunderstorms so lightening may stay away!

Awesome. Weather girls music sports was all I did as a kid, now 70. So I was always fascinated by weather. Sikeston was always on that snow/rain line, mostly rain.

In Military joined as a meteorologist. So that’s my training. And hence my passion.

If I drank, I could get drunk watching a killer thunderstorm.

I own the joint BDog, come in on Sat/Sun when no one's here so I can get things done w/o interruption.

But I'll take off Monday for Memorial Day or my wife would kill me.

I did same thing, often at work on weekends for the pure serenity of quiet.

Well. Long as I remember, the rain been falling down. Clouds of mystery forming; confusion on the ground. Good men thru the the ages; tryin to find the sun. And I wonder; still I wonder. Who’ll stop the rain.

Louisiana rain. Falling down like tears. Wash away the pain. Wash away the years.
Louisiana rain. Soaking thru my shoes. I will never be the same. When I get to baton rouge.
