Memorial Cup

Post by seattleblue »

One game a day for the next 8 days (6 round robin games plus 2 semis) and the final on June 1

Today Medicine Hat vs. Rimouski who is the host city
Next year's #1 overall pick Gavin McKenna (#72) is playing in this game.
No score early. This goalie for Rimouski, Langevin, has been fantastic this playoffs, he almost clawed them back against Moncton and already made a heck of a save.

Tomorrow 5pm central is Moncton/London
Pekarcik & Desnoyers against a whole batch of first rounders
including the best non-Desnoyers 2025 prospect among the four teams, Brzustewicz RHD on London.

McKenna would be the first overall pick this year if he were old enough, that's how good he is. He is really really good.

I have been loving the name "Oasiz Weisblatt" all year and he's a pretty good player too

Look up his brothers names. All unique O names.

For those that aren’t aware, a lot of these games are on NHL Network for those that want to watch.

I know of Ozzy and Oasiz.

Without looking it up I hope they have even younger siblings Ozmosis, Ozymandias and Ozempic

Pretty good game so far, 3-2 through 2. Two very late goals one to tie one to retake the lead for the hosts

Haha very close. Ocean and Orca are the other brothers names. Very cool family story with deaf parents.

And yes, good game so far. My guess is it’ll end up being Medicine Hat and London in the Final but all 4 of these teams are very good.

that was a heck of a game 1, late goal by St. Martin wins it. lot of lead changes in a 5-4 MH win

a 10 game scoring streak with something like 12 g + 6 assists I thought I saw, could have misread it

I think Pekarcik may have tipped that for the equalizer, 1-1. Good game so far

For months I've been trying to articulate what worries me about Pekarcik and it's his very high center of gravity. You hit him and he goes flying. He tried to get position on the crease and he was just shoved out to the high slot with one big push and was helpless to stop it.

what an awful tripping call on Desnoyers, which gifts London a PP which gives them the lead 2-1.
