Re: Rainiel Rodriguez
It's crazy to think that he is 5'8" (or even 5'10") and produces that kind of power. His legs must be some kind of strong!

I ain't no white trash piece of [shirt]. I'm better than you all. I can out-learn you. I can out-read you. I can out-think you. And I can out-philosophize you. And I'm gonna outlast you. You think a little name calling is gonna get me down? It's gonna take a hell of a lot more than that, to prove you're better than me!scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑23 May 2025 09:03 amBully4poo is illiterateFuturegm2 wrote: ↑23 May 2025 08:24 amHe was born in the United StatesBully4you wrote: ↑23 May 2025 04:42 amDoes this kid look 18 to you?scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑22 May 2025 20:52 pm The move stateside can come with its share of bumps, but that hasn’t been the case at all for Rodriguez, who hit 10 homers and tied for the Dominican Summer League lead with 25 extra-base hits in 2024. The 18-year-old backstop continues to show at least plus power with six homers through his first 12 games in the Florida Complex League, most among Rookie-ball hitters. His .944 SLG and 1.475 OPS also rank second at the level in this early juncture. Already considered advanced, Rodriguez is slugging even ahead of schedule.
He's a catcher
He's got that Dominican Republic birth certificate.![]()

Now--I say he was born in the Dominican, because it says so here, lest this is the wrong Rainiel.

Altuve is listed everywhere I've seen as 5'6".

But I will say they were exceptions to the rule. Of the top 10 in catchers in games played, 7 of them were 6’0” or taller and 2 more (Yadi and Brad Ausmus) were 5’11”. Ivan was the only one 5’10” or shorter.

Anybody know how much we paid Rainiel to sign?
