Kyrou Money For Bennett
One is a big time playoff stud, the other is Kyrou. I would in a second, trade Kyrou for some D help, move Faulk if possible, jettison Leddy to whomever is dumb enough to take him, dump Joseph and Texier to save some $$$, say thanks to Sunny, again, and move on. Then again go full r-(bleep) and sign Marner and Bennett. Marner would be about 7 tiers next level over Kyrou, but the $$$ will be stupid.

I think he gets more than that, tbh...unless he stays in Florida.

Marner is an easy way to possibly get a superstar…something the Blues truly lack and basically $8 mil of that could already be in the books if you move Kyrou. Then it comes down to if Army is comfortable giving him another $4 or $5mil per year. I don’t think it’s to far fetched that the Blues could have some interest on July 1st.
Re: Kyrou Money For Bennett
It does make me a little nervous spending that kind of money on a guy that puts up a ton of assist playing next to guys that score a ton of goals. I don't watch enough Toronto games to know who is driving the ship I guess.

Would they take Buch off our hands for Marner?Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑23 May 2025 07:53 am Marner is an easy way to possibly get a superstar…something the Blues truly lack and basically $8 mil of that could already be in the books if you move Kyrou. I like your scam. Can we hide the tape of the last 5 seconds of Game 7?TBone wrote: ↑23 May 2025 08:09 amWould they take Buch off our hands for Marner?Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑23 May 2025 07:53 am Marner is an easy way to possibly get a superstar…something the Blues truly lack and basically $8 mil of that could already be in the books if you move Kyrou. I do like the idea of getting out from under another one of Army's long-term contract blunders. However, I doubt very seriously that it can be done cleanly. Any 6th-grade girl that follows hockey would know the problem there.

huge leafs fan here. yes , marner is a phenomenal player, i watch him here in canada every saturday, him and matthews. nylander. all the boys. he is a selke level forward, great PK player, well rounded. but when it comes to playoffs, something is missing from all of them. marner all of a sudden becomes a turnover machine. and i dont know why. bc he isnt in the regular season. its like the pressure gets to him. i dont think he is the problem in toronto, i think the team has too many stars that cant handle physical play. that goes for matthews too, he cant handle physical bc he will get hurt. dude got hurt in training camp. frick me. might as well get hurt showering in the off season! and i love those guys. i have a ton of matthews memorbilia!Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑23 May 2025 08:58 amHe’s almost a point per game player in the playoffs.Lone_Ranger wrote: ↑23 May 2025 08:48 am12 goals in 70 playoff games? I wonder if playoff-itis is catchy? As soon as 1 superstar falls for it, it spreads all the way to everybody above Sunqvist?

I also wonder how quickly Berube realized that he is now swimming in a sea of more expensive Kyrous.

back to the OP, Bennett seems like a newer Shane Corson.. and that didn't work out so well

Re: Kyrou Money For Bennett
Maybe so but Nylander by far has been the best of the big 3. A close 2nd would be Matthews and Marner would be a distant 3rd IMO. Don't see any post-season impact from this guy. You can say what you want about assists but small goal total is telling.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑23 May 2025 08:58 amHe’s almost a point per game player in the playoffs.Lone_Ranger wrote: ↑23 May 2025 08:48 am12 goals in 70 playoff games?
