Well-another 2 pointer & a lead for the mysterious, Courts, who admitted here that he has been lurking behind the scenes. Maybe we’ll nickname him “the stalker” who works behind the scenes and then takes over the whole Organization.(yes, blue font for that comment.)
Old Battler (& I ) are from the older generation. Let me predict here that Courts (a tennis or pickle ball fan-surely not basketball!) goes on to win this ultimate predict the score contest and earns the trophy.

We got STL in Chicago and Fred left.

Russ, you can add me to the older generation. I was actually a Northstars fan when expansion happened (I was 7 years old at the time and born in Minneapolis). I loathed the Blues because they always had our number in those early years. The family moved to StL a couple years later and I still didn't become a Blues fan until the early 70's. Needless to say that old Northstars allegiance makes them my favorite to win. Any others with a personal favorite?

Good ole Caesar Maniago (still living at age 86), and his funky but plain mask, Gump Worsley (I am sure I have him on the cover of the Blues game day magazine in my collection), & Bill Goldsworthy (right handed right winger) are the main guys I remember for the North Stars. I think Minnesota also had a minor-league team, or was it WHA, that I thought played in a stadium that was made with plexiglass instead of the usual side boards. I’d have to look it up or you or anyone can comment.

I ve lived in Texas the last 12 years & get to see their AHL Texas Stars , but in no way do I wanna root for Dallas who is our direct rival?.. I cheer at games for the Texas Stars when they don’t play a Blues farm team including the younger Kyrou, but I have not picked a team to root for in this final four. I am just tired of Florida winning so hope it is not them.
Anyway, I’m reminiscing a little too, and we don’t want to make this thread about the oldies, but glad you’re out there rooting for the Blues now
