He never got much out of the Wings during his tenure but some of the young guys on those teams (Bertuzzi, Athanasiou, Mantha) had their best years under his coaching.

Maybe not the guy to take them over the top but could be a decent stopgap with all of the young guys still coming to join Bedard.
