Last month of Regular Season - A tale of 2 teams
Last month of Regular Season - A tale of 2 teams
Let's take a look at the results of last month of the regular season of the Blues and Florida. Florida sure looks like a dynasty in the playoffs, don't they?
Blues W13 - L3
Panthers W7 - L11
So what do these late regular season results tell you, Hockey Fans?
The results in the last month of the regular season mean exceptionally little. Good teams are throttling down to conserve resources for the playoffs. Bad teams are playing young prospects to maybe lose a few more. Players with injuries are healing for the playoffs or next year.
Unfortunately for Blues fans, this last month of the regular season is the killing season for Doug Armstrong. He loves to dominate this stretch. I posted earlier this year how NO TEAM PLAYS BETTER THAN THE BLUES IN THE LAST MONTH OF THE SEASON for the last 15 years.
Winning these MEANINGLESS REGULAR SEAONS GAMES, hockey fans, is why St Louis has no TOP5 picks, and never will. So enjoy the playoffs, and the TOP5 talent that you are seeing there for whoever you are rooting for. You won't see a special player ever wearing a Blues jersey.
Cheers.

A smell of his own (donkey) has completely lost it. Poor imitation of the attention seeking bleedyboi.

It’s funny how you know exactly which troll started a thread based solely on the title.
Sometimes I wonder about guys like you ASOGG. When your day is over and you head upstairs from your mom’s basement to eat your grillled cheese sandwich and malted milk balls, do you look back on your day with pride? Are you pleased with what you’ve accomplished? I mean, part of me understands it I suppose. If I was a 34 year old walrus of a man who’d never known the touch of a woman I might be a miserable troll too. But still man, it’s not too late. Take a shower, eat some fruit, go for a walk. Take a little pride in yourself and get some help. This forum will be here when you’re ready to participate again like a normal person.

I feel good knowing that I may have influenced some St Louis citizens with facts and my opinion. I live in a town where I was crushed to see my football team leave twice. The Kroenke exit was foretold by very poor team handling, handling that looked WAY DIFFERENT than what the other teams were doing.Backesdraft wrote: ↑22 May 2025 11:40 am It’s funny how you know exactly which troll started a thread based solely on the title.

I've learned in my life to not sit back and let management hand me what pleases them.
Any fan that wants to see a supreme hockey talent in your Blues jersey (LIKE EACH OF THE 4 TEAMS IN THE PLAYOFFS), you better stand up now and make your voices heard. If you don't, it won't happen ever.

Here is what I have to say in rebut:
Is my request odd? Nope. Go to any other hockey city in the US, and you will find that the majority of fans are VERY HAPPY to get a TOP5 pick. Many will tell you that it is mandatory and STEP 1 to build a hockey team. Think about that.
What is Doug Armstrong telling you? Is that odd?
No other hockey team in the US has a goal of "staying competitive" and winning 5% more next year as a goal. Think about that.
Why do I do this?
I'm not here to make fun of any other fan. I'm here to try to get the team to change their ways so that OUR CITY CAN ENJOY THE SAME HOCKEY BENEFITS AS EVERY OTHER CITY. That's why I'm here. No other reason.

Wake up and smell the freshly cut green grass. NOTHING you post on this board will have any effect on this team, from ownership, management, players to equipment handlers. I don't know for sure, but I see stories where National Writers say that they search fan forums to find fan sentiment. Even if that never happens, I get the gripe off my chest, and I'm happy. Like I said, I'm not a sit back and let management feed me kind of guy.
If my posts are bothering you, or anyone, just put me on ignore and save yourself any grief. I don't have anyone on ignore, but people talk about it like it is easy.
Cheers.

Problem is, your posts demonstrate you have little to no interest in "fan sentiment", you are pushing a narrative, perhaps an agenda. Quite hypocritical. Re: Last month of Regular Season - A tale of 2 teams
Did you follow the Rams? I did. It was obvious that the team needed a new QB (Bradford), but they did nothing. I chirped on RamsTalk for at least a year, maybe 2, about Bradford. My arguments and facts brought only hate and disgust. I was accused of not being a fan, etc. I even told everyone way in advance that the Bradford handling was a key sign that Kroenke WAS DEFINITELY MOVING. I was laughed at.DawgDad wrote: ↑22 May 2025 12:31 pm [*]Problem is, your posts demonstrate you have little to no interest in "fan sentiment", you are pushing a narrative, perhaps an agenda. Remember how that played out?
Kroenke moved the team to LA, and Step 1 was to draft a QB at #1. Were my negative posts about Bradford in interest of "fan sentiment"?
As they say... "If you see something, say something."

I'm not sure what you would like the Blues to actually do. Are you asking twenty professional athletes who have spent their lives working for the opportunity to play at the NHL level to stop competing? Phone it in so that five years from now the team can sell jerseys? Everyone would love to have a top five pick on their team, but it isn't something you can orchestrate.

Very good question.St. Charles Bronson wrote: ↑22 May 2025 13:49 pm I'm not sure what you would like the Blues to actually do. This is what I want the Blues to do....
1. Do EXACTLY what the 4 teams currently in the playoffs did to get their TOP5 pick(s).
2. For more examples, do EXACTLY what the MANY teams did that have won the Stanley Cup for the last 25 years, and the Cup MVP was their TOP5 pick.
3. Improve scouting such that there are no misfires when the TOP5 pick arrives.
I'm not asking the Blues to move mountains. I'm asking them to do what every other team does in the NHL.
