BUFFALO IS A GOOD TRADE PARTNER
What about Kyrou, Hofer, and either Leddy or Faulk for Tuch, Byram, Levi
Buffalo needs a Goalie and could use a more veteran presence on D and they have a lot of younger Center so Tuch could be expendable. He only has a year left so it wouldn't block DD.

Good Lord no

If you’re trading with Buffalo, it’s Power or bust

NO THEY ARE NOT
Re: BUFFALO IS A GOOD TRADE PARTNER
Leddy has almost no value in a trade. They’ve had some goalie issues with Levi so Hofer may entice them. I really like Tuch and he’s only got two years left so they might move him.Zizzle1297 wrote: ↑21 May 2025 07:15 amIs it feasible tuch and Power for Kryou, Leddy, Hofer, and something else.
I’m thinking that Leddy would have to be Lindstein and then we’re in the ball park. Would I do it? Yea I probably would.

Buffalo obviously has some very attractive defensemen on their roster (mostly LHD), but what about McLeod? 25 year old center that fits our growing roster. No idea what it would take, but seems like a worthwhile target especially given the UFA market for 2Cs.

Ehhh I'm looking at New Jersey and Dawson Mercer.
Nj has a glut of centers, needs wingers, and most teams will be concentrating on looking to trade for one of their rhdmen.
Mercer isn't going to be in their top 2 centers as they have Hughes and Hischier. HE is under contract for 2 more years at 4 million, is 23, has a 56 point season on his resume, has seen his point totals drop so is likely due for a bounce back, and might very well be available for less than what an actual defined 2nd line center would cost.

Re: BUFFALO IS A GOOD TRADE PARTNER
You don't get Power without basically an equal player like a Kyrou and a 1st. I don't see how this helps the Blues. Fans are focusing on defense and our win condition concern is offense. Tuch is someone who could be had but doesn't fill a need. Buffalo might be interested in some adjustment trades but they have to start believing their playoff hopes should be next year or the year after, especially with how weak the east is after the top 4-5ish. IT was really bad this year, so slight adjustments can get you those 5 wins or so you need to get yourself into playoff contention.
If the Blues are looking to make trades, they need to be looking at the Center position and be willing to give up a couple of their prospects and a draft pick. You would look at your Deans/Stenbergs/Peterson/Pekarcic and couple that with a 1st or 3rd-5th (don't have 2nds) depending on which player was plucked. If you could find a bottom feeder team to make the trade, then maybe you can offload Leddy's contract since it expires after the year, THEN you can start talking about trading for defense. But it all starts with addressing the center situation.

Yep, if I'm Army center is my #1 priority. Would a new RHDman be a good get? Absolutely, but if we come back with the same defense next season I'm not worried.callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑21 May 2025 10:03 amYou don't get Power without basically an equal player like a Kyrou and a 1st. Re: BUFFALO IS A GOOD TRADE PARTNER
Exactly, the Blues defense was good enough to get you a win if you scored 3 goals. To me that is the defenses job. And the amount of offense they provided was crazy. They were top 4 in the league in that department. So not only were they doing a good job in preventing, they helped push the pace of our offense. We were 11th in the league in defense. allowing 2.82 goals per game. We scored 3.05 goals per game. If the Blues truly want to make a jump and give themselves a chance to win 3-4 more games during the regular season, they need to figure out how to pump that goal number up to 3.15-3.2TheJackBurton wrote: ↑21 May 2025 10:07 amYep, if I'm Army center is my #1 priority. Also, you can get a 3rd pairing RHDman relatively cheap overall.callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑21 May 2025 10:15 amExactly, the Blues defense was good enough to get you a win if you scored 3 goals. Re: BUFFALO IS A GOOD TRADE PARTNER
I like the trade.
It's a win for the Blues. Not sure they would like it.
Byram is a stud. Tuch is a large man. Good player. Would love to have him!
Sabres have many intriguing pieces.
Power would be awesome.

Byram is a lefty, we just don't need another lefty even if others aren't as good as him. We have a glut of lefty dmen both at the NHL and prospect level.
Tuch would be a solid get but I'm not trading Kyrou for him. I'd trade a prosect for him not much else.
Power isn't going anywhere unless you give up a kings ransom for him.
