Will take a chance he’s still young. The cardinals are doing themselves nor Gorman any favors by not playing him. He has trade value just on potential.

His trade value is so low hes not worth trading right now it would be better to send him down and see if he gets right in Memphis

Normally I would agree, but it seems like for once, the best hitting coach is in the big leagues.

Agree with you both!
As frustrating as it is to watch Gorman flail he really isn’t blocking anyone except possibly Saggese.
Also.... he doesn’t cost squat in salary.
My guess? He gets the balance of the season and if he stinks he will be dealt then.
Of course if an offer of interest comes at the deadline they may have to move on it.

Oh I’m not agsinst trading him but I know they won’t get anything for him any GM is going to bring up all the negatives pointed out here on a daily basis and use it to trade next to nothing for him. At best they might get a lottery pick and that’s if they are lucky. So if it’s trade him for virtually nothing or send him down on the remote chance something clicks I say send him down

No, he currently doesn't have any value. You would be giving him away

Gorman is a low-cost, high ceiling, low floor lefty who can play 3B. After Nado is gone, we will be glad to have him. And who knows, maybe he will learn how to hit high fast balls.

By the way, a comma always follows a word directly, without a space.

It’s hard to talk trading on the verge of competing. But “if” the cards decide to sell or selectively buy/sell for future I think pieces like Gorman would be a fantastic add on to say a matz or hels to get a top 100 or top 50. Trade partner gets a young former top prospect who has had past success although short lived and a piece for contending. Alone little value but as a package it’s huge imo.

I'd rather send him down. Why trade him? You won't get anything for him and the next team might fix him. At least if you send him down you might be able to fix him yourself.

"He doesn't have any value" is the same excuse people gave for not wanting to trade O'Neill or Carlson like 1-2 years before they got traded.

Turned out they did have value at that time, because after holding onto them their value got even lower and they basically gave them away.

I guarantee you Gorman's value can get lower. If they're not gonna play him they have to either demote him or trade him.

By the way, it's BTW unless you are over 80, then it's allowed.

They have wasted enough time on him. They have created nothing more than a below average 2nd baseman who strikes out way too much to play on this team. Get rid of him. Give him away or send him off to the minors. Either one works for me.

Trade Gorman for a comma to be named later.
