A bit off topic but...does Chief get into the HOF if he gets a second Cup in Toronto? Particularly considering the 2 he would have?

I want the Leafs to lose because I think that induces a more exciting off season but I don't know why people act like they have been choking or whatever....they are playing the defending champs.

Well they lost 3 in a row to blow a 2-0 lead in the series, and looked *awful* in the 6-1 loss. They went 120+ minutes without scoring. It’s difficult not to call that a choke.

Last night they had a great game though. Still alive.

For me they were the underdog coming in.

It's been a strange series to me. Most of the big name players have underachieved.

All of the angst given to Matthews and Marner has shielded scrutiny from Florida's big guns:
Barkov only has 3 points.
Tkachuk has zero goals and doesn't look completely healed.
Reinhart has only 1 goal.

Nylander carried the Leafs early in the series but has goose eggs in the last 3 games.
Tavares also has been blanked in the last 3 games.

Goal Oriented:
The Panthers d-men have 5 goals in this series. They also had 5 vs. Tampa.
Those 10 goals from their blue line equal the amount that the Panthers top 3 wingers (Tkachuk, Reinhart, & Verhaeghe) have combined for in the playoffs.
The offense provided by the Panthers d-men and 3rd line has been their saving grace.

Assisted Living:
Florida has made it to game 7 despite their top 2 centers only having 2 assists combined.
Toronto's top 2 centers have combined for only 3 assists (all Matthews).
Taveras having zero assists means that the top 2 centers from each team have combined for only 5 assists after 6 games. Find me another series that has happened.
Those 4 centers have combined for 8 goals.

Bobrovsky stood on his head for 3 rounds two years ago.
Last year he was very good when he had to be.
This year his save % is under .900
Frank Underwood may have hit the nail on the head regarding Bob's play deciding game 7.

Dude, have you heard the Oilers fans? After the RFA offers and until the Oilers stumbled, they were talking [shirt] all Summer. Then when the Blues were eliminated, it came right back. Screw 'em, I hope the wheels fall off.

Yeah, I've been on a very busy Cowboys fan forum for a few years from time to time, and they're actually pretty funny for the most part. And very self-deprecating. And they can't stand Jones. And are losing patience with Prescott.

Now, getting back to the Maple Leafs, I hope they win mainly because of the Chief being there now. How can any Blues fans not root for that guy?

The only impact top level free agent they signed was Deion Sanders. They have no track record of signing top level free agents. And as someone else said, most Cowboys fans feel the roster is extremely flawed and is not going anywhere with Prescott.

On the Americas team. They are Americas team in branding as it’s one place they are extremely successful. Jones knows how to maximize the hate for the Cowboys into profits, I am at the point where I feel he actually doesn’t mind losing as it puts his face on the screen showing his frustration and disappointment and gets the haters talking about the team and their hate for him which increases revenues. There is a reason they are always given prime TV spots no matter how bad they are, they draw ratings.

On the field there is no America’s team. I have been a fan since 1982 and in all the conversations I have had with fellow Cowboys fans I have never once heard any of them use the term “America’s Team”. It’s a media term that the haters run with.
