Yes, crushing balls with his driver that were slicing on him . He hit one where he felt his back leg/hip driving thru on the swing and bingo ... he crushed it long and straight with higher velo. That was the moment he regained the slight decrease he had experienced with his fastball.

Sequencing in golf is huge. I’ve unlocked 25 yards of carry getting into my lead side before initiating the downswing. This doesn’t surprise me one bit.
Using those verticals is the best way to hammer drives.
