They missed out on Pablo Lopez and Jesus Luzardo, but can they go after this guy? He’s nasty.
He’s 25 and next year will be arb-eligible so maybe the Marlins would go for one or more of our MiLB catchers, a young arm or two and someone else before he gets expensive.
Trade for Ryan Weathers? Maybe a dream…

Adding to a young surging team would be a shot in the arm. If they keep playing well you would see the crowds start to return. Win win.

IF they could get him for a real reasonable price, it would be good. Need to remember, Weathers is a guy who has topped 100 innings ONE time and that was 2022 in AAA. Can he hold up for a full year in the MLB? Remember a guy named Anthony Reyes? Or Alex Reyes?

What do the Cardinals have to trade for anyone of real value, though? I get it. We're better than expected so far this year, but we were just thinking about a major sell off until a week or two ago. And our best and closest to the majors pitching prospects are all hurt. We don't have many great hitting prospects either and I wouldn't be in a hurry to get rid of JJ Wetherholt.
Maybe Mo can pull off one of his patented trade major league talent for major league talent trades and trade Arenado for something of value, but who knows.
