Winn vs De La Cruz

Post by Ronnie Dobbs »

Don't look now, but Masyn Winn is slashing .281 .371 .476 .836 with 6 doubles and 5 HRs. And he's playing elite defense. Only 2/4 on stolen bases, though. Might wanna start working out with Scott on that part of his game, because there's a lot of room for improvement there.

Elly De La Cruz is slashing.250 .323 .407 .730 with 5 doubles and 7 HRs. He's 14/18 in stolen bases, so he's got Winn there. Haven't seen his defense this year, honestly, but I can't see him besting Masyn in any way.

Not saying one is better than the other, but just saying that you gotta put Winn up there among the best young shortstops in the game right now.
