It could be considered "penny wise and pound foolish.". He could be leaving more money on the table.

Unless he enrolls in Jan '26 at The U, then he can't receive money until Aug '26. He would also miss his final year of HS Track and Field.

Signing wth Mizzou would allow him to begin "cashing checks" in Dec '25 and not lose his HS eligibility.

Cook and Burden made $2 million a year getting NIL done on their own. Miami is offering a finite amount. He could "write his own ticket" for an infinite amount within the State of Missouri.

Can you tell us which fan forums from Michigan and Oregon you are trolling with all of this information or provide links to them?

2025 NFL Draft for OT

ACC: No RD1 Pcks, Toal Pcks 3

SEC: 3 RD1 Pcks, Total Pcks 6 (MO 2, TX 2, LSU 2)

I think the SEC programs knew what they where doing with Cantwell

What do previous NFL draft picks have to do with his recruiting?

Proof of concept. Particularly relevant re: recent draft picks at a recruit's position.

Any kid that’s supposed to be this good and doesn’t play in the SEC just shows he isn’t very smart

I wonder how smart you have to be to second-guess a kid's decision about where he plays college football.

Cantwell just crushed his previous Missouri state record by FIVE feet in shot put. The dude is a beast.

That's like breaking your 100 meter PR by 5 seconds. The kid is throwing about 5 FEET further than any other high schooler in the country. That's why I think he'll turn out to be a one-in-a-generation player. The agility, quickness and power to do that is a rare gift indeed. And it translates extremely well to a offensive lineman. Let's hope he misses the cool midwest autumns and hits the transfer portal after 1 season.

For many it will be all about the money now. Who knows when a star athlete will have a career ending knee injury. At that point it sure would be nice to have a couple mil in the bank. Welcome to "college" sports. And if any athlete is that good, does it really matter where he plays (I was going to say go to school. But that's likely not really happening.)?

The "U" will never be confused with Duke, unless he plans to major in marine biology. I don't see that happening; not very many oceans are near Nixa.

Actually, if Miami were in the SEC, they'd be ranked #4 academically, at least according to U.S.News and World Report. #1 Vanderbilt, #2 (tied) Texas and Florida, #4 Miami. A very decent, private university.
