Put the best team on the field
Very close to taking the lead in the NL Central, the focus should be putting the best team on the field and NOT some exploratory development adventure with non-performing players.
Walker and Gorman should be sent down and replaced in the starting lineup by a consistent bat
Graf and McGreevy should be leveraged appropriately whether that is in the starting rotation or key spots out of the BP
If FO can’t improve from outside to create the best club possible at least use the best internal options.

Curious who you would replace Walker outfield position with?Goldfan wrote: ↑13 May 2025 08:14 am Very close to taking the lead in the NL Central, the focus should be putting the best team on the field and NOT some exploratory development adventure with non-performing players.

It does seem that we have quite the "Log Jam" at catcher, doesn't it? Tons of talent there..JDW wrote: ↑13 May 2025 09:22 amWell darn you then if I can't project. Weren’t you just (bleep) about Libby being jacked around in the bullpen and now you wanna put another starter in there?Goldfan wrote: ↑13 May 2025 08:14 am Very close to taking the lead in the NL Central, the focus should be putting the best team on the field and NOT some exploratory development adventure with non-performing players.

Not me…..he’s been starting….I’ve said he hadn’t fulfilled his promise up until now. But you’re right, McGreevy should be in rotation, but I don’t see that happening……so when Miles throws his 4-5 innings of 3,4,5 runs and the remainder of the game needs to be shut down bring in McGreevy like we saw when he was here.hullie wrote: ↑13 May 2025 09:51 amWeren’t you just (bleep) about Libby being jacked around in the bullpen and now you wanna put another starter in there?Goldfan wrote: ↑13 May 2025 08:14 am Very close to taking the lead in the NL Central, the focus should be putting the best team on the field and NOT some exploratory development adventure with non-performing players.

They have matz for that McGreevy should be starting in the minors or majors they shouldn’t do the liebratore jerk him around between bullpen and rotationGoldfan wrote: ↑13 May 2025 11:01 amNot me…..he’s been starting….I’ve said he hadn’t fulfilled his promise up until now. If pitchers are that fragile they aren't going to make it for very long.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑13 May 2025 11:09 amThey have matz for that McGreevy should be starting in the minors or majors they shouldn’t do the liebratore jerk him around between bullpen and rotationGoldfan wrote: ↑13 May 2025 11:01 amNot me…..he’s been starting….I’ve said he hadn’t fulfilled his promise up until now. Re: Put the best team on the field
Still room for 2-3 more depending if your realistic or not about JJ.
Who do you have to fill the roster that much different than what's being done?
Re: Put the best team on the field
So Libs didn't get any better from his BP experiences or his +/- in the rotation, it was just being jerked around?Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑13 May 2025 11:09 amThey have matz for that McGreevy should be starting in the minors or majors they shouldn’t do the liebratore jerk him around between bullpen and rotationGoldfan wrote: ↑13 May 2025 11:01 amNot me…..he’s been starting….I’ve said he hadn’t fulfilled his promise up until now. I do wonder what Libs would honestly say to it.
Leahy and Graceffo too, nothing gained from that BP experience?
McGreevy with this roster can be afforded the #6 SP spot currently. As you mention that's because of
other players and it currently the right thing to do IMO. That could change quickly by injury or performance.

RESPECT THE STREAK.
They should do nothing different right now. You never mess with a winning streak. Same guys. Same lineups. Same pitching.

Guarantee you that the people demanding they bench/demote Walker/Gorman in order to compete right now would be howling if either of them break out for another team after not getting enough opportunity in STL. It's all part of the same Short Attention Span Theater.

4yr in ML uniform
.171
Jordan Walker
3 yr in ML uniform
.180
If these 2 were hitting .220-.230 I’d might say leave them here……well under .200???
