And that's great. If the Phillies pitching match up last night happened on 4/3, Scott would've gotten the start.
Because Siani bats LH and was redundant to VSII!! What part of that do you not understand? Siani was never a smart roster decision. Barrera could have spelled Walker defensively in RF if needed. We already knew that VSII was a great defensive CF. Barrera could also play SS, 2B, 3B, CF, LF... which Siani cannot do. Barrera bats RH which the team needed.
Siani never made sense no matter how you try to justify it.
Even the guys who are paid to coach and evaluate are oftentimes wrong! Remember when Whitey thought David Green would be a star? Or Jim Lindemann? How 'bout when TLR wasn't going to bring Pujols north in 2001 until the Bonilla injury?
I thought the Templeton trade was awful! This isn't an exact science. We're all wrong from time to time. Except Melville. He's never wrong. Ask him. lol

It amazes me the hills you pick to die on.
The point is Scott would not have been sat/platooned for on April 3rd.
Why is he getting more playing time than siani? Oh yea because Barrero is an infielder also so of course he is more useful and would get more playing time so he is seeing the same amount of playing time as he would early in the season because he can play all three infield positions and all the infield positions and hes right handed which makes it even more dumb that Siani made the team over him. Siani didn’t get much playing time because he only played the outfield which limited his use. Like I said it was dumb at the beginning of the season dumb the whole time Siani was on the team Mo finally realized what others were saying that it was dumb and fixed it good for him
He’s getting more PT because the roster and they way it’s played is different.
Hes getting more playing time because he plays other positions. Siani wasn’t going to see time at second or short
No, between Winn, BD, NG and NA, there wasn’t room at the beginning of the season.
Which of those is no longer on the team that suddenly makes room for him
Still trying to figure out which of those players are no longer on the team that suddenly made room for him
Walker started 19 of the team's first 20 games. He's started 12 of the last 18 games.
Gorman has played a little less too.
And 7 weeks in, guys are starting to need more rest days.
So you see, a team bullish on JW, VS, LN, BD, NG and MW going into 2025 leaves no room for playing time for JB. As the dust settled in April, more opportunities opened up. If all the players I mentioned had .850 OPSs and Walker's OF defense was spotty, Siani might still be up here.
lol you do love moving goal posts around but it’s expected from you
What are you talking about?
I just gave you examples.
Hes played three games at short and two at center
And that's great. If the Phillies pitching match up last night happened on 4/3, Scott would've gotten the start.
And I understand how he filled in for MW because of injury.
I also understand Walker's defense is, in fact, much improved.
All those reasons make Barrero more relevant on 5/13 than on 4/13.
And you’re wrong. I knew once they realized it was dumb to have Siani on the team and sent him down you would figure out a way to try and continue to defend it after how hard you defended it in the offseason and I was right you double down o wrong all the time and refuse to admit being wrong but that’s okay you do you. I’ll let you have the last word it will be wrong but you can have it
This is me when Siani made the roster:
You guys are overthinking it.
The MLB roster still has some guys figuring things out. What will Baker, Burleson, Gorman, VS bring? And will Noot be healthy?
As the Cards give guys some extended PT, maybe it's best to have Siani there for def replacement, pinch run, ETC.
Not making the MLB OD roster on March 22 means little. Especially on this team where there will be a lot of Memphis movement...
Oh man, I was a huge Siani homer who thought he'd be here all season!!!! LOL

Here is your last word ecleme as we all know this drivel won't end until you have the last word and can tell yourself that you win.
So weird how you make it personal.
You said "Siani and VS are both lefthanded!"
I said, well, that wouldn't have mattered in early April since VS wasn't getting platooned that early in the season.
Then you: "You always have to have the last word!!!"
