Sunday night trivia

Post by jcgmoi »

I pulled this question from David Laurila's column at Fangraphs today and added a hint.

Ted Simmons is one of two catchers to have started the All-Star game for both the American League and the National League. Hint--the other came up with the Cards too, although he wasn't an AS with them. Name him.

Terry Kennedy is correct. He was an AS three times as a Padre and once as an Oriole.

I'd guess Terry Kennedy.

I knew he was an AS with the Padres...he's the only catcher I could think of who came up a Cardinal and made an AS Team somewhere else, but not here.

Didn't know he was an Oriole.
