Cub’s schedule

Post by EastCoastDave »

How, pray tell, did the Cubs get this cupcake schedule for the rest of May and into June:

Marlins at home for 3
White Sox at home for 3
At Marlins for 3
At Reds for 3
Rockies at home for 3
Reds at home for 3
At Nationals for 3

None of these teams are above .500. Reds are the closest at 1 game under .500.

I believe the Cards play the same teams the Cubs play. Does it really matter when it is?

Yes it does. Hopefully the cubs have a brutal schedule in August and September.
I know their last 3 games of the season are at Wiggley vs St. Louis!

They played a fierce schedule in March/April against NL West teams. Everybody plays the cupcakes sometime- like 3 against Pittsburgh and 3 against Nationals. At the end of the year we play all the same teams the same number of times. We each have 81 games home and 81 games away.

Probably because they played the toughest April schedule in the division :? :?

It’s been impressive they are as good as they are given the schedule they had. I really thought they could get buried early.

2 vs LAD
4 @ AZ
3 @ Athletics
3 vs SD
3 vs TEX
3 @ LAD
3 @ SD
3 vs AZ
2 vs LAD
3 vs Philly
3 @ Pit
3 @ MIL
3 vs SF
3 @ NYM

That is what 3 easy games vs Pitt? And the rest are basically winning teams. And still 23-18.
