Think Pope Leo XIV should plan a visit to St. Louis when White Sox plays the Cardinals . Be a famous photo of Pope standing with 25 Cardinals that are far below 80 years old !

Seems like a very good choice.
Did you double date with him back in your early days?
I'm not even a Catholic, Rojo, but I respect the fact that the new Pope is going to be the leader of 1.4 billion Catholics throughout the world. Tremendously influential. So I look at his background, credentials, etc. and say that he looks like a good choice. That's all. I wish him well.

I'm not Catholic, but I am happy that this Pope is an Illinois native and a Chisox fan. It has long been my hope that someday I can see a Cardinal - White Sox World Series, as they have long been my favorite AL team.
Bad news: Luis Aparacio and Nellie Fox have retired. Sox have struggled ever since.

Pope Leo XIV (Robert Francis Prevost), born and raised in Chicago is NOT a Cubs fan! Add to that, his father was a Cardinal fan.
Is the Pope's father still alive?
Louis Prevost passed away in 1997. I shoiluld have used “was.”
