Vegas’s 1st Playoff loss in 42 games when……
Scoring 3 or more goals last night!
Wow that’s an impressive stat. I know the odds are very good for any team that scores 3 or more goals but 42 straight playoff games is (bleep) good. Makes sense that EDM would break it.
Of course makes you think of games 1 and 7 of this Jets series. The Jets brought it to the Blues in both 3rd periods but game 1 was the only game where Binner looked off….particularly on the game tying goal.

I’m rooting for the Oilers but Vegas should have gotten a powerplay in OT for that Arvidsson trip on McNabb. Clear penalty. Dangerous play.

What really sucked was not a single clean goal scored on him in game 7. Everyone was a deflection. He stopped everything that wasn't and some that were.stlblue06 wrote: ↑09 May 2025 12:50 pm Scoring 3 or more goals last night!

The Game 1 game winner you speak of was an east - west seam pass. Connor shot it. Very few make that save in real time - yet he still got a piece of it after denying Connor of that same play at least twice prior.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑09 May 2025 14:07 pmWhat really sucked was not a single clean goal scored on him in game 7. I was talking about the game tying goal. Not sure who scored but it was a pass from behind the net to a Jet player who was on a bad angle and Binner was square to him but for whatever reason he lifted his pad and it slide underneathbud white wrote: ↑09 May 2025 14:37 pmThe Game 1 game winner you speak of was an east - west seam pass. I know that game will haunt for sooo many reasons. Binner was completely locked in just like you knew he would be. I think the Blues knew that so they focused on eliminating any prime chances.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑09 May 2025 14:07 pmWhat really sucked was not a single clean goal scored on him in game 7. The refs call the only penalty of the game (I believe) on that weak (donkey) Sunny slash where the Jet player wasn’t even holding his stick.
That tip was very skillful but also extremely lucky to go right under the corner bar. 0.0 chance for Binner. Then another lucky (bleep) bounce off Suter’s stick on the 2nd. Ok I’m done lol

Pietrangelo playing hurt/sick
5 points Even
Theodore
5 points -6
Barbashev
2 points -8
Eichel
9 points -5
You should watch some hockey
Re: Vegas’s 1st Playoff loss in 42 games when……
I haven’t watched Petco closely but he was brutal on that 5 min PK in OT. 2 terrible back to back failed clearing attempts at the beginning then as bad as it gets serving Hyman all alone in the slot….it goes right off the crossbar
Re: Vegas’s 1st Playoff loss in 42 games when……
The first one was actually a great play by the oilers forward who hit his stick. The 2nd one bounced. After Pietrangelo tied it, they lost the game because McDavid absolutely embarrassed Eichelstlblue06 wrote: ↑09 May 2025 16:07 pmI haven’t watched Petco closely but he was brutal on that 5 min PK in OT. 2 terrible back to back failed clearing attempts at the beginning then as bad as it gets serving Hyman all alone in the slot….it goes right off the crossbar

Oh without a doubt, that's why the turtling made even less sense. Keep attacking and he will stop everything.stlblue06 wrote: ↑09 May 2025 15:38 pmI know that game will haunt for sooo many reasons. As much as I like Petro, he,was brutal as the game wore on.
And whether he was sick/hurt, he was good, enough to play.
He made some glaring unforced errors that should have ended the game sooner.
On the winner, McDavid blew by Eichel, but he does that to everybody. Great play by a great player.
And Petro didnt do a very good job on that play of taking away the pass, like your supposed to on a two on one.
McDavid passes that puck to Leon 99 % of the time, so Petro knew it was coming.

Not ideal positioning for a defenseman.PPG wrote: ↑09 May 2025 21:43 pm As much as I like Petro, he,was brutal as the game wore on.
