Re: The Re-Whatever is OVER - Doug Army
It's amazing to me that a guy that wants a great young player to skate for our city can draw so much hate on here.
So be it. I'm Schenn, not Kyrou, so strap on your helmet, folks. There is going to be a lot of hits in this series.

That promise didn't last a week. Now, you are pouting because your opinions are taken lightly or even mocked?
Shocking.

Yep. I considered not going into the corner to get the puck, but then I saw Doug Armstrong skating around without a care in the world. So I decided to jump over the boards once again, and here I am. Get over it.Bubble4427 wrote: ↑09 May 2025 11:04 amYou exclaimed you were leaving the forum and would not be complaining about DA ever again a month ago.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑09 May 2025 10:20 am It's amazing to me that a guy that wants a great young player to skate for our city can draw so much hate on here.

I fear that she is not cute, so maybe send her to critique Army's made-up word, the infamous "re-whatever".smegma wrote: ↑09 May 2025 11:09 amMy High School English teacher would like to speak to him about his sentence structure.Bubble4427 wrote: ↑09 May 2025 11:04 amYou exclaimed you were leaving the forum and would not be complaining about DA ever again a month ago.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑09 May 2025 10:20 am It's amazing to me that a guy that wants a great young player to skate for our city can draw so much hate on here.

Hey now. At least it’s 1000% better than Bomac’s. I may not agree with 97% of what he says but at least I can understand the point he’s making.smegma wrote: ↑09 May 2025 11:09 amMy High School English teacher would like to speak to him about his sentence structure.Bubble4427 wrote: ↑09 May 2025 11:04 amYou exclaimed you were leaving the forum and would not be complaining about DA ever again a month ago.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑09 May 2025 10:20 am It's amazing to me that a guy that wants a great young player to skate for our city can draw so much hate on here.

If you cant see how well we played down the stretch and in the playoffs then your an idiot.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑09 May 2025 07:49 amI think that my sickness has evolved from outside exposure. I talk to people in other hockey towns, and they seem to always get over-the-top happy when they talk about their prospects. They don't even monitor their guys, and then all of a sudden the news reports come in CONSTANTLY about how great they are. Meanwhile, I hear very very little in St Louis about our prospects. Then Doug Army tells me that the retool is over.Nublues69 wrote: ↑09 May 2025 07:33 amwhy are you so over dramatic, all you do is criticize. you must live a super pathetic life that all you can do is be negative. I would have guessed that it was just starting to get good. The 3 guys (Dvorsky, Stenberg, Lindstein) associated with the Re-Whatever are still 5000 miles from the NHL, but Doug is sure that the punch line has been delivered.
Could it be that he wants it to be over so that he doesn't have to answer questions about it? Hmmm. Hmmm. WHY WOULD THAT BE?
In unrelated news, there is a report of a missing man. The Blues long-term 2C has not been in his bed for years, and no one has any idea where he is. Evidently the 2C wasn't in the scope of now-finished RETOOL.
Is there anyone out there reading this (other than DA) that believes the RETOOL is over?
fowler broberg tucker holloway bolduc and snuggerud. Dvorsky will make team out of camp. the net wave of stenberg lindstein stancel pekrick ralph fischer will be in next 2 years.
That is pretty much a complete roster turnaround. all we really need is a 2c which dvorsky will be in next year or two.
the only fire going on is the dumpster fire we call a smell of green grass
so just shut the eff up bro
I've got a bad case of Prospect-envy. I'm not happy being in this state either.

Man the series of stupid posts from this guy, what gives? An attention seeker is my best guess, daddy didnt hug him enough, mommy loved other men.
What about Neighbours, Bolduc, Holloway, Broberg, Hofer, Snuggerud, Tucker these young Blues players are already doing it why would not include them in this dumb debate? What about Thomas, Blues have already cultivated a #1 center? Fact is Blues have a fairly loaded arsenal of good young players its now going to be a tough line up to crack we have already seen these young players contributing at the NHL level, argument over.
Re: The Re-Whatever is OVER - Doug Army
I dont see dvorsky far away at all. The other guys 1 to 2 to 3 years. never know stenberg played with men before and now he is turning 20 and will be in his second year of ahl maybe he gets a call up who knows. Lindstein will excell next year in the ahl.
But yes with the lines below retool is over and as vetrans leave they will be replaced with youth from our system. This team is ready to compete

I'm just not comfortable at all that we have the d in the system to fill in as the veterans fall off. Which is why I think any major assets being moved should be to address that.Nublues69 wrote: ↑09 May 2025 12:35 pm I dont see dvorsky far away at all. Now of course there are other indirect less likely paths like you could trade Kyrou for a young C and trade Dvorsky for d etc.

It seems the only skating that DA does is when he skates around in your head. There is plenty of room up there so he could be skating for a while.
Why do you assume that DA doesn't have a care in the world? Better question, why do you think he will suddenly care because you are upset?
Face it, DA owns you. It's obvious and funny too.

You’re right. He’s human. He talks about the biggest regret of his looooong career.

This is a fair assessment. The Blues have a lot of D prospects that look to have the potential of being solid NHL d-men…but they’re lacking in top-end quality. Lindstein, Jiricek and Fischer are looking like potential top-4 guys to me. Ralph and Burns look like potential 3rd pairing guys to me. Koromyslov is a wildcard. Likely also a 3rd pairing guy if he ever comes over.skilles wrote: ↑09 May 2025 12:50 pmI'm just not comfortable at all that we have the d in the system to fill in as the veterans fall off. Buchinger is a former 2nd rounder but I just don’t see it with him. He’d be a slightly undersized, sheltered offensive 3rd pairing d-man if he ever made it. Loof is mean but doesn’t really have any standout qualities otherwise. McIsaac might be a sleeper. He has one more year of Jrs left (plays for Spokane and they begin their series vs Medicine Hat for the WHL Championship tonight). Mayich…likely won’t be signed. The Blues have until June 1st to sign him or they lose his rights. My guess is if they were going to they would’ve done so by now. They haven’t.
But what the Blues do have is a lot of these guys. And a lot of forward prospects as well. And a lot of assets on the NHL team too. Army has a ton of assets to work with. What he needs to pull off is a couple trades that brings in a difference maker or two. I’d say one at C and one at D, ideally on the right side…while also simultaneously unloading some dead weight. Pretty much like how he sold some futures (Thompson and an 1st) and dead weight (Bergy and Sobotka) for ROR. We need him to do that again.

we have fischer jircerik lindstein ralph who will be here shortly 2 years or so. We dont trade kyrou him and holloway are amazing together. Dvorsky is your future 2c. Just stay the path. no shortcutsskilles wrote: ↑09 May 2025 12:50 pmI'm just not comfortable at all that we have the d in the system to fill in as the veterans fall off.
