Set aside the attitude questions, just imagine what you would do once you have Devers. This is a consistent left-handed hitter, perhaps Soto-lite. Under contract for years.
The question is not so much if it's feasible. Just consider how many lefties we already have in our system.
The question is, what's your next move after Devers? Are you going to make a lineup with 6 or 7 left-handed batters? We already have a ton of lefties in the system. Or would you deal from surplus, break off a Chace Davis or a even Wetherholt, to get something you really need. A top pitcher or two. And then you'd need to find another big RH hitter. Or is that not a big problem.
