Cutting edge batting cage duplicates tonight's pitchers

Post by Pink Freud »

I'm watching the Dodgers at Miami, and the Marlins --- a AAA roster that needs all the help they can get --- have installed a Traject Machine in their workout area at Loan Depot Park. It has a life-size video screen on which you can download videos of the pitchers(s) you're about to face, with a pitching arm hole in the screen adjustable to fit the actual pitcher's release point.

The Marlins are closely tracking their hitters' success with this machine at home vs. road games, where they won't have it.

Attn., Nick at Tower Tee batting cages: Why didn't you have this when I was stopping by for 50 swings every day?

Update in Miami: The Marlins have already had 8 home games with reported attendance under 10,000. Tonight, with Shohei Ohtani in town, it's Japanese Heritage Night, and he just launched one toward Osaka.

Sincere apologies, FGM2 and RR. Try ibuprofen.
