Amazing that someone who hasn't watched a game in a long time is still on a fan forum.
Why don’t you save us all some time and give us the rules/definitions of a real fan?

Dictionary says for "fun" -

"enjoyment, amusement, lighthearted pleasure."

Is that not available when the Cardinals win a game? Or do some fans wait until the end of the season to see if there
is any "fun".

I guess a definition of a real fan might be a "person who backs their team through thick and thin". But that's just
a guess.

With each post Cranny continues his job as a PD plant and click bait antagonist.

Their couldn't possibly be any other reason for someone to be this intentionally stupid.

11W - It's probably fine to say that a POST was stupid, but labeling another Cardinal fan as stupid
defines you in a way that you don't want to defined. Remember an old rule of thumb -
"attack a post, but not a poster." It's a good rule.

A “rule” that you honor in the breach.

I understand baseball. I love the DH. I rarely attend for other more obvious reasons.

Okay, rat, let's try this. The fact that there are so many empty seats at Cardinal ball games is because ownership,
the front office, and field management are all incredibly inept. Is that better for the negative crowd?

No. That’s a bit strong. Ownership deserves some ownership simple because it’s their business. Front office who knows how much success they have had, Field management is mediocre at best.

That’s a better summary.

Thanks, SB. I was getting the impression from a number of posters that it's been a horrible last 10 years, the manager is awful, the front office is totally inept, and ownership should sell to a super billionaire who will come out of his own
pocket to buy big time expensive players to take the Cardinals back to the very top of the MLB world. Maybe I was reading it wrong. Oh, and also that only what happens in the playoffs is important.

Here's another rule of thumb.

Cranny is a PD CT forum plant getting paid minimum wage.

1) The team is more likely than not to miss the playoffs for the third straight year.

2) There are interesting young players like Wynn and Scott but no must see stars in their primes.

3) In addition to the Cards keeping their powder dry economic uncertainty is causing families to keep more of their own powder dry, and St. Louis is not a particularly wealthy market to begin with.

This causes people to watch at home (if they watch) or spend a weekend afternoon grilling out or at a park.
