Bloom has signed players. Trevor Story, Masataka Yoshita. Do we know for a fact BDW is going to chop Chaims balls off. Why wouldn't Bloom think about a multi-year veteran. Maybe Bichette would be looking for a rebound year or a 3 year type of deal like Bellinger took, if he has another so-so year.
RF Nootbaar
2B Donovan
LF Bichette
C Herrera
3B Wetherholt
1B Contreras
DH Gorman
SS Winn
CF Scott II
Can't tell me that lineup wouldn't have upside. That's just with one player that you might get a chance with at a discount. Seems like you don't get many chances at potential players like that.
Someone tell us about his statcast. Does he have a serious problem?
Uh….why?
His numbers aren’t great. 29 HR in 690 PA isn’t production we need to hurry up and lock up in FA.

I don't follow the Blue Jays enough to have any idea what is wrong with him. He used to be quite good. Better than that even. There was a day I would have rather had him than Vlad. He's still pretty young. Same age as our promising prospect Luken Baker. We're all ready to run Alec Burleson out of town on a rail because he hasn't been good since last August. Bo hasn't been himself for longer than that. Are we sure he is getting big money? The best version of him would be worth it, the last two seasons- not so much.
Yeah from 2019-2023 here was his slash line: .299 .340 .487. He was the definition of a pure hitter for that period. Look sometimes you bring in veteran players on rebound type deals and it can pay off. The Cubs did it with Bellinger. If you could get Bo on that type of short term deal I think it would be a smart bet. Something like that could have the chance to really turn the page. Especially if by the time you bring him in, you've already found a way to move on from Arenado. Too many moving parts for this front office, I know. I could see Bichette, Nootbaar, and Contreras and co. really just having a jolly old time together as team leaders.

You guys really think this organization is going to give Bo Bichette like 7/$225M?
Come on
Where did those years and numbers come from? Bichette's career earnings probably won't reach 225.
Hes a short stop hes 27 topped the league in hits twice is a career .290 .331 .792 hitter if bogarts got an 11 year 280 million dollar contract at 30 someone will pay Bo a lot of money
He sucked last year and doesn’t look much better this year. He’s also barely a SS and I doubt anyone would give him seven years when he could weigh 300 pounds in two.

"Pure hitter." LOL
What's the problem dumb[ash]
What's so pure about an OPS of .827.
Good? Sure. But not sure why the numbers are romanticized.

Yeah well anyways
Not to mention a bad career walk rate of 5.4.
All of his seasons of impressive counting stats took nearly 700 PA to achieve.

It's a boatload of hits because it's 695ish PAs.
Can a bat like his in his heyday play in left field? Sure. Is that a player that you need to rush to sign? No...

All those hits. That would be the perfect type of hitter to have in the lineup behind a bunch of OBP guys like Nootbaar and Donovan.

If there were any suggestion he was the same type of hitter that produced “all those hits”, I could agree. Right now his bat speed is measuring in the bottom 13% of the league. His foot speed has also dropped from around 70th percentile to 30th, suggesting he was legging out a fair amount of infield hits when he was younger and thinner.
Bichette could be a worthwhile experiment for a few years at a low AAV, but IMO it doesn’t make much sense for the Cardinals. He also doesn’t make much sense as a LF, when it appears he’s becoming a snail-like singles hitter. His bat profiles as a middle infielder, but sadly he also sucks at shortstop defensively… oh yeah, and we don’t need a shortstop.

8 years/$370 Tucker
Try 12/400+
And it might be well worth it
It's foolish for me to argue when you could be right.
I don't think he gets the Ohtani Soto buzz.
I gave him a raise over the 2023 Biggies of Judge and Machado, less years than Vladi.
He'll be 29. $40/yr seems a cap as may 10 yrs. The NYY/LAD will be in play.
It's Harper 2.0 for the Cards. They need to but likely won't.
Rely on their pitching system development it could be done.

You may be right. He may be on his way to becoming a total fatass.
