He won't.
He had 397 PAs there last year, so I wouldn’t say he won’t…

They had a right handed hitter leading off the bulk of the time last year and followed with a lefty. This year they have Noot leading off and will follow with a righty when Winn or Herrera get back.

Burleson might go to #7 in the lineup against RHP when Herrera returns.
1) Nootbaar RF
2) Winn SS
3) Donovan LF
4) Arenado 3B
5) Contreras 1B
6) Herrera C
7) Burleson DH
Eight) Gorman 2B
9) Scott CF

That would be par for the course from Oli and so, so wrong.

He’s a classic number six hitter- 15 hr power, few doubles, lots of balls in play, K’s a bit slow.

Burleson is my favorite player on the team and a guy I will root for even if he isn't a Cardinal.

I have an Alec Burleson rookie card and last year when I went to San Diego for the padres series he signed it, which was very nice of him.

I am also partial to Alec because I too am built like him. Not all of us are the athletically built type.

I hope and pray he makes all of you doubters stop talking about it. I will always have his back.

He's one of the leaders on the team and a tremendously better player than Walker or Gorman and should be playing over those busts anyways

He's a bench player, at best a platoon DH or 1st baseman on a team that needs one (we don't).

Once Hererra returns, Burleson becomes expendable since Ivan should be the (near) fulltime DH.

I'd be trying to pawn him off on the BoSox.

If they don't bite, then toss him in to close a deal when Helsey or Fedde or Matz or Mikolas if he waives the NTC are dealt.

This needs to be bumbles final season in St. Louis, I hope Bloom moves on from him.

He is a bust too, just treading water till he is replaced by a better option.

I dont disagree. I was thinking about where he hits in our lineup. Six fits.

Just read this concerning Bosox 1st base need:

Boston’s former chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom now works for the Cardinals, who have Luken Baker on the roster but without much playing time to offer. -mlbtr

1. What evidence do you have which indicates he's a team leader?

2. Both Walker & Gorman are younger than Burly, run better than Burly, are better defenders than Burly, and have higher ceilings than Burly. Time will tell whom is the better player.

Those who enjoyed the Matt Adams experience should also enjoy Burleson.

Despite the critics on CT, Burleson will be in the lineup tonite vs a tremendous RHP.

guy, you sit and watch while he's horrendous for close to a calendar year. he has a couple good games, and yes i'm excited if it continues. But what are you doing? you yourself questioned your strange commitment to him before he hit 2 HR, and you are back on the horse pushing the Burly agenda. Accept you overrated him drastically.
