Don’t agree with the narrative we should have traded both. This game 7 experience and the whole build up to get there is extremely valuable for a lot of these young players. Without Schenn and Buch we definitely don’t get there.

Does it suck to come this close, absolutely, 1000%. Do I think we would have stood a chance against Dallas with heiskanen and Robertson back, no.

Credit to the Jets. That was a fun series.

Great end to the season for our Blues.

Sigh... that was off Sunny...
It was literally the worst possible ending wtf. Biggest choke job of all time
Literally? I think you might be literally crying like a baby with your short term thinking.

Blues won their last 15 straight at home.

After being dead in the water in Jan/Feb, they broke a franchise record with 12 straight wins to make the playoffs.

They did that with Parayko out for 5 weeks, and Holloway leading the way for the forwards.

When Holloway went down, the whole team dynamic shifted. We were able to get Dvorsky a cup of tea, then Snuggerudd showed up as our only possible replacement for Holloway. The 20 year old played 7 NHL games before getting thrown into the top-6 for this series.

We pounded the Jets into oblivion and nearly snuck away with a series win over the Presidents Trophy winners (most winningest team in the NHL). Took them all the way to midway of double OT in game 7 in their barn, and they needed a bunch of odd deflections to do it (last one off of our player). The worst thing about it was that we choked it at the end of the 1st game and the last game. If they would've lost to us, it would've been much more of a choke job. We shouldn't even have been in the playoffs.

"biggest choke job of all time" is irrational and emotional, which I understand.

I would have rather lost that game 5-0 than to see them choke with a 2 goal lead. So many bad plays at the end of regulation that would have made a difference.

That being said, great run to get into the playoffs and pushed the Jets to the brink. Good experience for guys like Snuggerud, Bolduc and Neighbours. Be interesting what Armstrong can do, if anything, to improve the at 2C and RD.

It took 7 games with 2 overtimes in game 7 for the best regular season team in the NHL to beat us by 1 goal. We outscored them in this series. I could go on some more, but it's not necessary. That's just generally the way the series played out. I couldn't be more proud of our boys. Thank you Blues for a very exciting series.

This was an all-timer. Blues fans 50 years from now will be talking about it. It was was an unbelievable loss.

Wonderfully stated.

It hurt like hell- anyone who says otherwise is not a Blues fan. But, it was the wildest ride I have ever been on with this team- wilder than 2019 in terms of volatility.
I was optimistic at the beginning of this season and these guys exceeded my expectations.
Y'all know I love a fine story and this one was a ripping good yarn.

Monty will fix the 6 on 5. Knowing his style, I bet he doesn’t sleep soundly until it is rectified.

We were studly, bold, warriors for a helluva long time.
I am proud to be a fan and happy about our future.

This post jinxed the team and is the sole reason the Blues will lose this game.
Ugh. I am sorry Blues-nation. :(

If someone at the beginning of the year told me the Blues would squeak into the playoffs and take the presidents trophy team to double OT game 7 I would take that all day every day. Also that the vezina league MVP (probably) would get pulled in 3 of the games I would say the Blues probably win that double OT game but like any OT game, it can go either way. How they got to OT was definitely crushing but the game was not over at that point.

Lots of good experience for a young club and the future should be bright.
