Rockies on pace for a 24-138 season
Sure, they'll pick it up but it's still April and they're already set up for a 100 loss season. Even if they played .500 ball the rest of the year, let's say 68-67, they'd finish at 72-90. After a year of seeing record futility on the south side of Chicago, Colorado may be saying "hold my Coors."

Man, that's a ROUGH start. Had a young college student from Denver (Rockie fan) over at Easter that's playing college ball (P) locally, and he was lamenting some over the Rockies. Gotta laugh I guess, easy for me to say.BrummerStealsHome wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 16:58 pm Sure, they'll pick it up but it's still April and they're already set up for a 100 loss season. They’re lucky MLB employed the balanced schedule. Even still they are so far from even respectable and the NL has quite a bit of talent. It’s going to be a rough year.BrummerStealsHome wrote: ↑28 Apr 2025 16:58 pm Sure, they'll pick it up but it's still April and they're already set up for a 100 loss season. I’m surprised their offense has been so bad
Re: Rockies on pace for a 24-138 season
2021: 74 - 87
2022: 68 - 94
2023: 59 - 103
Attendance:
ROCS: Cards:
Fri: 21, 743 24,437
Sat: 34,040 35,316
Sun: 28, 408 32,403
Just like DimWallets, the Monforts need to get serious about MLB. IF not wanting to play with the big dogs, sell the team. DimWallet is anti competitive, so definitely sell the team. Cards supposedly outdrew the Rocs by 7965. Pathetic for both teams.

and the Rockies can't pick better than 10th in 2026.
This isn't an intentional tank

Not a good projection for the Rock Pile.
Re: Rockies on pace for a 24-138 season
So you're saying the Cardinals have a chance against them this year?

Bud Black's 7th straight losing season ends in September, as well as his contract. Good time for the Rockies to keep up their losing string by hiring Oli Marmol. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/632489 ... Id=7541559
Re: Rockies on pace for a 24-138 season
It’s May 5th and they are already 17 games back of the Dodgers.
When they set the MLB record for losses last year the White Sox weren’t 17 games back until late May.
Could the Rockies set the record for games back this year? There might have been more but I looked through a few organizations and going back to 1900 the 1939 St. Louis Browns were the worst I saw at 64.5. Not sure if anyone was back more of that. But with the way the Rockies are this year and the way their division is, I think there is a decent chance they surpass that with flying colors.

Could be the worse ownership in MLB (Monfort's), not well liked in Denver.
Re: Rockies on pace for a 24-138 season
and people here think cards fans have it bad!
Re: Rockies on pace for a 24-138 season
Now 6-31. On pace for 26-136. But look at their next 32 games coming up through June 15.
vs SD (3 games)
@ TEX (3 games)
@ AZ (3 games)
vs PHI (4 games)
vs NYY (3 games
@ CHC (3 games)
@ NYM (4 games)
Then they finally get a breather with the Marlins for 3 games
Before going
vs NYM (3 games)
vs SF (3 games)
@ ATL (3 games)

Re: Rockies on pace for a 24-138 season
Now 6-32, for maybe 26 wins and 136 losses.
Just wow!
Just wow!
Re: Rockies on pace for a 24-138 season
6-33 now after getting destroyed 21-0 by the Padres.
When is enough going to be enough for MLB to force a sale and/or move the team out of Denver, where the game cannot be reasonably played?
The Rockies and their owner are making a mockery of the game.
