You only move Kyrou for Brady. Ottawa just made the playoffs, I’m not sold he wants to stay in Ottawa. I wouldn’t be shocked if he still asks for a trade here shortly.

Typical whipping-boy material.
Kyrou is a consistent 35-goal scorer making 8 million and just turned 27. Find me a better bargain.

I don't see it, I think if you trade a player like that off this current roster you have to get a long turn corner stone dPierre McGuire wrote: ↑05 May 2025 07:47 am You only move Kyrou for Brady. While the d might not be a huge problem now it is quickly going to become a big problem as what we have ages out while we have a pretty solid pipeline at forward

Yeah but the Blues would have to add a couple more pieces. It all depends what that is. I'd be willing to take a chance and part with Bolduc and that 1st rd pick Jiricek. But I wouldn't part with Snuggerud.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑05 May 2025 07:47 am You only move Kyrou for Brady. Ottawa just made the playoffs, I’m not sold he wants to stay in Ottawa. You want to trade Kyrou, Bolduc, and Jiricek for Brady? A guy who scored less than Kyrou alone? and is only signed for 3 more years? Thats insane.Lone_Ranger wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:04 amYeah but the Blues would have to add a couple more pieces. It all depends what that is. No, he didn’t, and that’s the problem. Players look like they are playing through injury when they try to play normally, but can’t. Kyrou looked like he was playing through fear. Yeah, that hit he got from Stanley (I think it was Stanley) was a bone crusher, but it did not take him out of the game anywhere except in his own head.

He was clearly injured...his skating was very off...he might have been maybe 60-a70% what he normally is. He wasn't close to being the player he is and that had nothing to do with any fear.schwartzwatch wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:08 amNo, he didn’t, and that’s the problem. Do we realize Kyrou scored goal at pretty much the same exact pace in this series as he did the regular season?

Re: Hopefully that was Kyrou’s last game as a Blue
Anyone that watched last night, knows for certain that there is a compete problem with Kyrou.
He's supposedly a sniper that had multiple great shot opportunities in the slot, open to the goaltender, and instead he passes the puck. He didn't want the puck. He didn't want to shoot. He didn't want to be 'The Guy'. And that has nothing to due with injury. It has everything to do with being gutless.
I can put up with his lack of ability to win 1-on-1 battles. I can put up with the fact that he cowers to any type of physicality. But I can not accept that he's a supposed scorer, who passed up on almost every opportunity to score in a game 7. Even his goal on that broken play, he tried NOT to score and passed up a wide open shot in the slot. He doesn't want it.
They absolutely need to look at moving him before his NTC kick in. It's hard to imagine advancing far with him playing so many key minutes so gutlessly.
Thomas did not play much better. And had the same hesitancy all night. Thomas and Kyrou have awful chemistry... and can't get on the same page. And Thomas-Kyrou-Buch should never, ever play together again. They are horrendous as linemates and we can point straight to their lack of effort and compete as the reason we lost last night.

Not saying he wasn’t injured. Just saying he LOOKED like someone avoiding the contact, which to me looks different than struggling with injury.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:11 amHe was clearly injured...his skating was very off...he might have been maybe 60-a70% what he normally is. Kyrou has 13 playoff points in 28 career games.skilles wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:05 amYou want to trade Kyrou, Bolduc, and Jiricek for Brady? I would do anything possible to get a Brady deal done but i don’t want to include Bulduc.

Probably pretty important to point out that 11 of those points are goalsZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:21 amKyrou has 13 playoff points in 28 career games.skilles wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:05 amYou want to trade Kyrou, Bolduc, and Jiricek for Brady? He couldn't separate at all, had zero push off when he needed it and when chasing the play back up the ice, he strides were short, you could tell he was struggling.Lloyd Braun wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:20 amPassing up the opportunity to score multiple times when he has a wide open slot shot has nothing to do with injury and everything to do with being a gutless and weak playerPierre McGuire wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:11 amHe was clearly injured...his skating was very off...he might have been maybe 60-a70% what he normally is. Why would Ottowa trade BT and why would they want to do it for Kyrou?ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:21 amKyrou has 13 playoff points in 28 career games.skilles wrote: ↑05 May 2025 08:05 amYou want to trade Kyrou, Bolduc, and Jiricek for Brady? Understandable to be emotional but 11gs in 28 playoff games is not really bad at all. Idk maybe Kyrou was dinged up, maybe not but we arent even having the opportunity to lose in the last two seconds unless Kyrou scores last night so....and you have to make the post season first so you need goal scorers and Kyrou presently is a bargain salary-wise

Re: Hopefully that was Kyrou’s last game as a Blue
I'm not a medical expert as some here seem to be so l don't know if Kyrou was injured but I do know something about competing and what I saw in the third period and the overtimes wasn't it.
Not looking for a whipping boy because there's plenty of that to go around this morning but he was no where near competitive the last three periods of the game.
